NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 4th day of June 1976, presented to the said Court by THE MANCHESTER IMPORTING COMPANY LIMITED and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Wellington on the 7th day of July 1976 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributors of the said company who desires to support or approve the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished by the undersigned to any creditor or contributors of the said company requiring a copy on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a public road, for which purpose the land, described in the Schedule hereto, requires to be taken by the council under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928. A plan of the land required to be taken, as aforesaid, lies open to public inspection at the office of the Council in Bank Street, Te Awamutu. Every person directly affected is hereby called upon to set forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, and to send such written objection to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, Wellington, within 40 days from the first publication of this notice. A public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

BOROUGH OF PICTON
SPECIAL ORDER CONSOLIDATING SPECIAL RATES
NOTICE is given that, at its meeting held on Tuesday, 15 June 1976, the Picton Borough Council passed the following resolution by way of special order:
“That the following resolution carried at the ordinary meeting of the Picton Borough Council held on the 27th day of April 1976, be and the same is hereby confirmed:
That, in pursuance and exercise of the power vested in it in that behalf by section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and all other powers in the behalf enabling it, the Picton Borough Council resolves so that this resolution may be confirmed at a subsequent meeting of the Council and operate as a special order, to make an annual recurring consolidated special rate upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Picton comprising the whole of the Borough of Picton and that such consolidated special rate shall be made in substitution for the several special rates made in respect of the following special loans:
(a) Water Extension Loan 1947—$40,000;
(b) Water Extension Loan 1951—$22,000;
(c) Water Extension Supplementary Loan 1953—$2,200;
(d) Sewer Improvement Loan 1951—$24,000;
(e) Sewer Improvement Loan 1962—$50,000;
(f) Sewer Improvement Loan 1966—$48,000;
(g) Pensioner Flats Loan 1958—$6,520;
(h) Pensioner Flats Loan 1969—$9,250;
(i) Staff Housing Loan 1961—$7,000;
(j) Staff Housing Supplementary Loan 1961—$700;
(k) Dublin Street Bridge Loan 1968—$11,400;
