Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at Licensed Premises—King Country Licensing Committee

PURSUANT to section 221A (14) of the Sale of Liquor Act 1962, as amended by the Sale of Liquor Amendment Act 1976, I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give notice that the King Country Licensing Committee on 17 December made an order authorising variations of the usual hours for the sale of liquor to the public, and further authorised the following hours of trading for the licensed premises known as the Tokaanu Hotel, Tokaanu:

(a) On every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (not being Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 10 o’clock in the evening.

(b) On every Friday, Saturday, and Christmas Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 11 o’clock in the evening.

(c) On every New Year’s Eve (not being a day when licensed premises are required to be closed for the sale of liquor to the general public) the hour of opening shall be 11 o’clock in the morning and the hour of closing 0.30 o’clock in the morning of New Year’s Day.

Industries Development Commission Notice No. 1976/9—Inquiry Concerning the New Zealand Industries Engaged in the Painting of Steel Sheet or Strip of Tariff Headings 73.12 and 73.13

  1. In a letter of 20 December 1976 the Minister of Trade and Industry advised the Commission that, following representations from interested parties and discussions between the Commission and officials of his Department, he had agreed that the reference concerning galvanised sheet and strip he has sent to the Commission on 4 November 1976 be withdrawn and replaced by a more specific reference.

  2. He requested that the Commission inquire into and report on the present situation and prospects of, and recommend lines of development and the nature and extent of assistance, if any, whether by means of protective devices or otherwise, it considers appropriate for New Zealand industries engaged in the painting of steel sheet or strip of Tariff headings 73.12 and 73.13. The Commission was asked to take special note of metal laminate coil, which is included in Tariff item 73.13.431.

  3. For the purpose of taking evidence the Commission will hold a public hearing in the Hearing Room, Eighth Floor, Cumberland House, Upper Willis Street, Wellington, on Tuesday, 3 May 1977, commencing at 10.30 a.m.

  4. Any person who intends to tender evidence should lodge, in typewritten form, 14 copies of public evidence and 12 copies of confidential evidence to be presented under oath at the public hearing, at the Commission’s office no later than Friday 1 April 1977. In preparing this evidence the “Notes for Information and Guidance of Interested Parties” prepared by the Tariff and Development Board may be of assistance. Copies of these Notes may be obtained from the Commission’s office.

The Motor Launch (Lake Brunner) Notice 1976—Grey County Council

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby give the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Lake Brunner) Notice 1976.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette and shall remain in force until revoked by further notice in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. Subject to the condition set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulations 11 and 12 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 shall not apply with respect to the areas described in the First Schedule hereto.

  2. The Motor Launch (Lake Brunner) Notice 1975† is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

  1. All that area of water at Bain Bay, situated on the western side of Lake Brunner, Block XI, Hohonu Survey District, bounded on the sides by parallel lines 152 m apart, extending in a 141° true direction 200 m from the edge of the water, the northern boundary commencing at a marker post situated at a point on the edge of the lake bearing 040° distant 46 m from the root of the remains of the old jetty, as shown on plan M.D. 15713.
