Providing for the Membership of the Wellington Regional Water Board

At the Government House at Wellington this 6th day of December 1976 Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Wellington Regional Water Board Act 1972, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Wellington Regional Water Board (Porirua City) Order 1976.
  2. The Wellington Regional Water Board shall include one additional member to be appointed by the Porirua City Council who shall be a member of that council.
  3. The provisions of the Wellington Regional Water Board Act 1972, applicable to constituent authorities and members of the Wellington Regional Water Board, shall apply respectively to the Porirua City Council and any additional member that it appoints.
  4. The order shall come into force on the day after its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Approval of Qualified Persons for the Purposes of Section 402 of the Companies Act 1955

Pursuant to section 402 of the Companies Act 1955, I hereby approve
Hugh Hedley Parsons, and Brian Chadwick Wing partners in the firm of Binder, Hamlyn and Company, 8-12 Bridge Street, Sydney, New South Wales 2000, and members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, to be qualified persons for the purposes of that section in respect of the accounts of Simplex International Time Equipment Pty Limited.

Pursuant to section 2 of the Coroners Act 1951, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Kenneth Edgar Pitman, Esquire of Kaikoura to be a Coroner for New Zealand.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that Pacifico Evangelista presented his Letter of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Philippines to New Zealand at Government House on Wednesday, 17 November 1976.

His Excellency the Governor-General directs it to be notified that the appointment of Akira Kuriyama as Consul-General for Japan at Auckland has been provisionally recognised.

Reappointment of a Member of the Dairy Factory Managers Registration Board (No. 1604 Ag. 50194)

Pursuant to regulation 3 (2) of the Dairy Factory Managers Regulations 1941, I hereby reappoint:
Sidney Ivan Wheatley (as a representative of the New Zealand Dairy Factories and Related Trades Employees Industrial Union of Workers) to be a member of the Dairy Factory Managers Registration Board for a term of 2 years from 26 November 1976.

Notifying Appointments to the Electric Linemen Training Committee

The Minister of Electricity hereby notifies the appointment of Murray Donald Macphee as a member of the Electric Linemen Training Committee in place of W. M. E. Mirams, and Robert Walter Hubbard as a deputy member; for the purposes of the Electric Linemen Act 1959.

Appointment of Queen's Counsel

His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council and with the concurrence of the Chief Justice of New Zealand, has been pleased to appoint Brian McClelland, Esquire, of Christchurch, barrister, to be Queen's Counsel.

Appointment of Members of the Regional Transport Licensing Authority, Auckland

Pursuant to section 120A of the Transport Act 1962 (as substituted by section 16 of the Transport Amendment Act 1971) the Minister of Transport hereby appoints as members of the Auckland Regional Transport Licensing Authority John Martin Foster, and Leon Abraham Manning (this appointment being made on the recommendation of the Auckland Regional Authority).
The term of appointment of both these members shall be from the 6th day of December 1976 until the 5th day of December 1979.
