NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the New Plymouth High Schools Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Board of Governors of New Plymouth Boys’ High School, New Plymouth Girls' High School, and Spotswood College shall be known as the New Plymouth High Schools Board of Governors and shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Taranaki Education Board;
    (b) One member elected by the teachers of all the schools controlled by the board of governors;
    (c) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending New Plymouth Boys’ High School;
    (d) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending New Plymouth Girls’ High School;
    (e) Two members elected by the parents of the pupils attending Spotswood College;
    (f) One member appointed by the New Plymouth City Council;
    (g) One member appointed by the Taranaki County Council; and
    (h) Two members appointed by the board itself.

  3. The New Plymouth High School Board of Governors Notice 1974* is hereby revoked.

LOGAN PARK HIGH SCHOOL BOARD OF GOVERNORS NOTICE 1976

PURSUANT to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Logan Park High School Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Logan Park High School Board of Governors shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board;
    (b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
    (c) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;

(d) One member elected by the Dunedin City Council, the Port Chalmers Borough Council, and the Waikouaiti County Council;
(e) One member elected by the Council of Otago University, the Council of the Dunedin Teachers College, and the Council of the Otago Polytechnic;
(f) One member elected by the school committees of the following State primary schools, namely, the Dunedin North Intermediate School, the Maori Hill School, the George Street Normal School, the Pine Hill School, the North East Valley Normal School, the Opoho School, the Ravensbourne School, the Maia School, the St Leonards School, the Sawyers Bay School, the Port Chalmers School, the Purakanui School, the Waitati School, the Warrington School, and the Seacliff School;
(g) Two members co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.

LONG BAY COLLEGE BOARD OF GOVERNORS NOTICE 1976

PURSUANT to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Long Bay College Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Board of Governors of Long Bay College shall be constituted as follows:
    (a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
    (b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
    (c) Eight members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school;
    (d) Two members co-opted by the board, if and when it thinks fit.

  3. The Long Bay College Board of Governors Notice 1975* is hereby revoked.

CANCELLING APPOINTMENT OF A MAORI WARDEN UNDER THE MAORI WELFARE ACT 1962

NOTICE is hereby given that the Maori warden, named in the Schedule hereto, has resigned by notice in writing, and the appointment is therefore cancelled, pursuant to subsection (4) of section 7 of the Maori Welfare Act 1962, as substituted by section 14 of the Maori Purposes Act 1975.
