✨ Board of Governors Notices




  1. The Board of Governors of Palmerston North Boys' High School, Palmerston North Girls' High School, Queen Elizabeth College, and Freyberg High School shall be known as the Palmerston North High Schools Board of Governors and shall be constituted as follows:

(a) Two members appointed by the Wanganui Education Board;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of all the schools controlled by the board of governors;
(c) Two members to be elected by the parents of pupils attending Palmerston North Boys' High School;
(d) Two members to be elected by the parents of pupils attending Palmerston North Girls' High School;
(e) Two members to be elected by the parents of pupils attending Queen Elizabeth College;
(f) Two members to be elected by the parents of pupils attending Freyberg High School;
(g) Up to two members to be co-opted by the board of governors, if and when it thinks fit.

Tamatea High School Board of Governors Notice 1976
Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Tamatea High School Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Board of Governors of Tamatea High School shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Hawke's Bay Education Board;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Six members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school; and
(d) Two members co-opted by the board itself, if and when it thinks fit.

(3) The Tamatea High School Board of Governors Notice 1975* is hereby revoked.

Waitakere College Board of Governors Notice 1976
Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Waitakere College Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Board of Governors of Waitakere College shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Auckland Education Board;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Eight members elected by the parents of pupils attending the school;
(d) Two members co-opted by the board, if and when it thinks fit.

  1. The Waitakere College Board of Governors Notice 1975* is hereby revoked.

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Waitara High School Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Board of Governors of Waitara High School shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Taranaki Education Board;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Seven members elected by the parents of pupils attending Waitara High School;
(d) Three members co-opted by the board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.

The Kaikorai Valley High School Board of Governors Notice 1976
Pursuant to section 51 of the Education Act 1964, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Kaikorai Valley High School Board of Governors Notice 1976.
    (2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of November 1976.

  2. The Board of Governors of Kaikorai Valley High School shall be constituted as follows:

(a) One member appointed by the Otago Education Board;
(b) One member elected by the teachers of the school;
(c) Five members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
(d) One member appointed by the Dunedin City Council;
(e) One member appointed by the Green Island Borough Council and the Taieri County Council, being a person living within the following State primary school districts, namely, the Abbotsford School, the Brighton School, the Fairfield School, the Green Island School, the Ocean View School, and the Waldronville School;
(f) One member appointed by the Council of the University of Otago;
(g) One member elected by the members of the school committees of the following State primary schools, namely, the Abbotsford School, the Green Island School, the Balmacewan Intermediate School, and the Kenmure Intermediate School.

(c) Six members elected by the parents of the pupils attending the school;
(d) One member appointed by the Avondale Past Pupils' Association;
(e) Two members co-opted by the Board of Governors itself, if and when it thinks fit.
