National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a
Limited Access Road
It is notified that the National Roads Board by resolution
dated 20 October 1976, and pursuant to section 4 of the
Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part
of No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington) from the south
boundary of Pahiatua Borough to its junctions with Hamua
and Hawera Roads, as more particularly shown on sheets 1
to 4 of plan LA 51/10/51 and the accompanying schedule
held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of
Works and Development, Trentham, and there available for
public inspection, to be a limited access road.

National Roads Board—Notice Partially Revoking Declaration
of State Highway to be a Limited Access Road
PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 4 of the Public
Works Amendment Act 1963, the National Roads Board
hereby revokes its resolution of 20 May 1965* pursuant to
section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963 declaring
that part of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from
the Mangaonua Stream crossing near Hamilton City to its
junction with the northern boundary of Cambridge Borough,
as more particularly shown on plan M.O.W. 10300 and
schedule of properties held in the office of the Resident
Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Hamilton,
and there available for public inspection, to be a limited
access road, insofar as it affects that part of the said No. 1
State Highway, Hamilton to Cambridge Section, for one
half of its width on the western side across the frontages
of Lots 3 and 4 of D.P. S. 3853 (C.T.'s 973/197 and '15A/
913 respectively).

Revoking State Highway and Declaring Public Highway to be
State Highway
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953,
the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval
of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice
that it cancels the varying notice of declaration of State
highway, dated 8 October 1965, published in New Zealand
Gazette, 14 October 1965, Volume III, p. 1781, insofar as
it relates to the portion of State highway described in the
First Schedule hereto; and declares the public highway described
in the Second Schedule hereto to be State highway
in lieu thereof within the meaning and for the purposes
of the National Roads Act.
FIRST SCHEDULE
No. 6 State Highway: All that portion in Lake County
from its intersection with Chard Road to its intersection
with Grant Road.
SECOND SCHEDULE
No. 6 State Highway: All that public highway in Lake
County from the intersection of No. 6 State Highway with
Chard Road via Kawarau Bridge, Swiftburn Deviation, Arrow
Junction, Ladies Mile, and Lower Shotover Bridge (opened
1975) to the junction of No. 6 State Highway with Grant
Road.

No. 50 State Highway: commencing at Napier and proceeding
thence generally south-westwards via public highway
on land designated for motorway, Waiohiki Pakowhai Road,
Fernhill, Mareaakahoko, Tikokino, and Ongaonga, and terminating
at No. 2 State Highway, west of Takapau.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Napier - No. 50 State Highway: commencing in Napier City
at the junction of Hyderabad Road and Taradale Road,
and proceeding to the south-west boundary of the city via
Taradale Road and that public highway built on land designated
for motorway.

National Roads Board—Varying Notice of Declaration of
State Highways
PURSUANT to section 11 of the National Roads Act 1953,
the National Roads Board, acting with the written approval
of the Minister of Works and Development, gives notice that
it varies the notice declaring public highways to be State
highways, dated 9 July 1969, published in New Zealand
Gazette, No. 43, 17 July 1969, page 1338, by deleting from
the Schedule to the said notice the paragraphs described
in the First Schedule hereto and substituting therefor the
paragraphs set out in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE
PART I—SOUTH ISLAND
No. 74 State Highway (Christchurch-Lyttelton).
PART II
Lyttelton.
SECOND SCHEDULE
No. 74 State Highway (Christchurch-Lyttelton) commencing
at No. 1 State Highway (Fitzgerald Avenue) Christchurch
and proceeding via Moorehouse Avenue and Ferry Road to
the northern end of the Heathcote River Bridge; recommencing
at the Christchurch-Lyttelton road tunnel (Lyttelton
end), and proceeding to the Junction of Cashin Quay back
road and Gladstone Pier road.
Lyttelton.
No. 74 State Highway from the tunnel portal (Lyttelton
end) to the junction of Cashin Quay back road and the
Gladstone Pier road at a point 28 metres north from the
northern end of the Cashin Quay container administration
building.
