Notice of Intention to Take Land in Irregular Block, East
Taieri Survey District, Taieri County for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road
the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be
used for the construction of a road. And notice is hereby
further given that the plan of the land so required to be
taken is deposited in the post office at Allanton and is there
open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by
the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection
to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to
the amount or payment of compensation, make a written
objection and send it within 40 days after the first publica-
tion of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal
Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in
accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objec-
tion will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and
each objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing.

mentioned. The said pieces of land are part of State Highway
No. 1, on the Allanton straight, south of Dunedin.

Declaring Road in Block VII, Waoku Survey District, to be
a Government Road and to be Stopped

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of
Works and Development hereby (a) declares the pieces of
road described in the First and Second Schedules hereto to
be a Government road; and (b) stops the said road.

Street Closed and Added to Adjoining Land Held for State
Housing Purposes in the City of Porirua

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby pro-
claims that the street, described in the First Schedule hereto,
is hereby closed and added to the land held for State housing
purposes described in the Second Schedule hereto.

ALL that piece of street containing 283 square metres, situated
in Block II, Belmont Survey District, City of Porirua, adjoin-

Wellington and thereon marked “A”.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

Land to Which Closed Street is to be Added

ALL that piece of land containing 4068 square metres, situated
in Block II, Belmont Survey District, City of Porirua, being
Lot 1, D.P. 43098. Part certificate of title No. B4/1280,
Wellington Land Registry.

Land Proclaimed as Road and Road Closed and Vested in
Block I, Maraekakaho Survey District, Hawke’s Bay
County

PURSUANT to section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act
1948, the Minister of Works and Development hereby
proclaims as road the land described in the First Schedule
hereto, which land shall vest in the Chairman, Councillors,
and Inhabitants of the County of Hawke’s Bay, also hereby
proclaims that the road described in the Second Schedule
hereto is hereby closed and that the road firstly and secondly
described in the said Second Schedule shall, when so closed,
vest in Peter Norman Berkahn, of Maraekakaho,
sheepfarmer, subject to mortgages No. 206902, 271803, 168022,
163023, and 317406.1, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry; also hereby
proclaims that the road thirdly described in the said Second
Schedule shall, when so closed, be incorporated in Crown
lease No. S.F.S. 73, recorded in Register book Volume 120,
f olio 25, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry, held by Robert
Daventry Stead, of Salisbury Farm Settlement, farmer, sub-
ject to mortgage No. 81187, Hawke’s Bay Land Registry.
