Environmental Impact Report NotifiedโAuckland Regional Authority Pulverised Refuse Land Fills
THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on the proposal to establish pulverised refuse landfills at Brookby Road, Manukau City and at Riverhead, Rodney County. Representa- tions in writing on the environmental aspects of the project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12042, Wellington North, until 29 November !975.
Copies of the report may be purchased from Auckland Regional Authority at Regional House, Hobson Street, Auckland, or Private Bag, Auckland, or seen at the public libraries at Manukau, Otahuhu, Takapuna, Onehunga, Waimate, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. Copies can also be seen at the libraries of the seven university institutions.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand
PURSUANT to section 33 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act '1964, the Reserve Bank, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that as from and including the 1st day of November 1975 and until further notice each trading bank shall maintain on average during each calendar month balances at the Reserve Bank plus holdings of Reserve Bank notes and of New Zealand Government securities together equal to an amount which shall not be less than the aggregate of:
Thirty percent of that bank's average demand deposit liabilities in New Zealand in the immediately preceding calendar month as shown by an average of the weekly returns of Banking Statistics under the Statistics Act 1955, plus
Twelve percent of that bank's average time deposit liabilities in New Zealand in the immediately preceding calendar month as shown by an average of the weekly returns of Banking Statistics under the Statistics Act 1955.
For the purposes of this notice:
(1) The monthly average of a trading bank's holdings of Reserve Bank notes shall be the average of the figures as shown by the weekly returns of Banking Statistics under the Statistics Act 1955 for that bank received in the calendar month to which the requirement applies.
(2) The monthly average of a trading bank's balances at the Reserve Bank and holdings of New Zealand Government securities shall be the average of all daily figures for that bank in the calendar month to which the requirement applies.
(3) Government securities shall consist of Government stock and Treasury bills (all at nominal value) including advance subscriptions for stock lodged by a trading bank with the Reserve Bank.
(4) Balances at the Reserve Bank shall include both demand deposit balances and time deposit balances.

Approval of Warning Lights for Fire Appliances
PURSUANT to regulation 49 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby approves for the purpose of regulation 39 (1) of the said regulations, lighting equipment as described in the Schedule hereto when fitted to motor vehicles equipped for attendance at fires and approved by a fire authority, for use while on urgent fire-brigade service.
SCHEDULE
(a) One or more flashing or revolving red lights on top of the vehicle and visible in all directions;
(b) Two flashing red lights at the front of and shining directly ahead of the vehicle.

Approval of Red Reflectors for Motor Vehicles (Other Than Heavy Goods-Service Vehicles) in Terms of Traffic Regula-tions
PURSUANT to regulation 49 (1) of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives approval for motor vehicles other than heavy goods-service vehicles, for the purpose of regulation 41 (2) of the said regulations, red reflectors of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
RED reflectors manufactured by Hella New Zealand Ltd., the lens being marked "Hella Made in New Zealand" and having a diameter of approximately 50 millimetres.

Acquisition of Land for Historic Purposes
