Transport and Agricultural Notices




  1. Heavy motor vehicles carrying the goods specified in
    the Second Schedule hereto are hereby exempted from the
    requirements of section 109A of the Transport Act 1962.

  2. The exemptions from section 109A of the Transport Act
    1962, specified in the Third Schedule hereto, are hereby
    revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

CLASSES OF HEAVY MOTOR VEHICLES

Every heavy motor vehicle which, with its load, does not
exceed 2½ tons in weight.

Every heavy motor vehicle engaged in carrying on a goods
service exempt under section 113 of the Transport Act 1962
from transport licensing requirements, under Part VII of that
Act.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by a farmer
and carrying goods, owned by him and carried in connection
with his business, when the load on the vehicle does not
exceed 5 tons.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by a department
of State, or by its contractors, when the contract
agreement is carried on the vehicle.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by a harbour
board.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by a local
authority, or by its contractor, when the contract agreement
is carried on the vehicle.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by the New
Zealand National Airways Corporation.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by Safe Air
Limited.

Every heavy motor vehicle being operated by a mail contractor.

Every oil or petroleum tanker.

Every septic tank cleaner's vehicle.

Vehicles operated by the Golden Bay Cement Group carrying
bulk cement throughout the North Island.

Every heavy motor vehicle engaged in security services.

Every heavy motor vehicle designed and used for the
collection and disposal of domestic, industrial, or commercial
refuse.

Every heavy motor vehicle engaged in road construction
operations.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Goods

Ice cream.

Cordials and carbonated waters being carried for retail
distribution.

The carriage of scrap metal in vehicles operated by scrap
metal dealers.

The carriage of parcels on which freight has been pre-
paid and to which are affixed freight-paid tickets.

Quick-frozen food in consumer-pack sizes being distributed
directly to retail stores.

Goods carried by the owner, in his own motor vehicle,
that are intended for the use of the owner and not for resale
or disposition of any kind to any other person.

Goods carried by the owner, in his own motor vehicle,
that are intended for commercial sale from that vehicle,
provided the carriage of such goods does not infringe the
provisions of sections 108 and 109 of the Transport Act 1962,
or the Transport Licensing Regulations 1963.

REVOCATIONS

  1. The exemption from waybill requirements of certain
    classes of heavy motor vehicles and of heavy motor vehicles
    carrying certain classes of goods, given in New Zealand

  2. The exemption from waybill requirements of a scrap
    metal dealer carrying scrap metal, given in New Zealand

Canterbury Raspberry Marketing Committee—Election to Fill
a Casual Vacancy (No. 1261 Ag. 60206)

PURSUANT to the Schedule to the Canterbury Raspberry
Marketing Regulations 1950, notice is hereby given that the
roll of those persons qualified to vote for the election of one
producers representative on the Canterbury Raspberry Marketing
Committee, to fill the casual vacancy created by the
resignation of R. J. Ewan, will be open for inspection during
ordinary office hours at the following places, viz.,

Head Office, Wellington,
Christchurch,
Ashburton, and
Rangiora.

The roll will be available for public inspection for a period
of 7 days from the 15th day of October 1975.

Nomination forms may be obtained on application to any

of Agriculture and Fisheries, Christchurch.

Nominations must be in the hands of the returning officer
not later than noon on the 5th day of November 1975.

Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 193 of the Industrial Relations Act
1973, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Wanga-
nui Waterside Employees’ Industrial Union of Workers,
Registered No. 2071, situated at Port Amenities Building,
Castlecliff, Wanganui, will, unless cause to the contrary is
shown, be cancelled on the expiration of 6 weeks from the
date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that
