Licensing the Manawatu County Council to Occupy Site for Two Boat Ramps at Foxton Beach

PURSUANT to section 162 and 265A of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Manawatu County Council (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Foxton Beach, as shown on plan marked M.D. 15655, and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon two boat ramps as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the lst day of October 1975.

(3) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be ten cents (10c) payable on demand; provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

The Motor Launch (Nelson Rivers) Notice 1975

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby give the following notice:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Nelson Rivers) Notice 1975.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force for a period of 2 years from that date.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, regulation 11 (a–d) of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 as to limitation of speed, shall not apply in those rivers described in the First Schedule hereto excepting during the whitebaiting season.

FIRST SCHEDULE

  1. Buller River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of Buller River above tidal influence, upstream to the confluence of the Buller and Maruia Rivers, except throughout the lake caused by the Inangahua Earthquake.

  2. Karamea River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Karamea River above tidal influence.

  3. Mokihinui River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Mokihinui River above tidal influence.

  4. Nile River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Nile River above tidal influence.

  5. Orowaiti River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Orowaiti River above tidal influence.

  6. Big Totara River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Big Totara River from its source to the bridge on State Highway No. 6.

  7. Little Totara River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Little Totara River from its source to the bridge on State Highway No. 6.

  8. Little Wanganui River - Nelson Land District: All the waters of the Little Wanganui River above tidal influence.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. The provisions of the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968 (1968/239) shall, so far as applicable, apply at all times.

  2. The provisions of this notice shall not apply to access lanes or reserved areas declared pursuant to regulation 13 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962 (1962/180) when these access lanes or reserved areas are being used for water ski-ing activities.

PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, I, Owen John Conway, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby give the following notice.

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch (Westland Rivers) Notice 1975.

(b) This notice shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette and shall remain in force for a period of 2 years from that date.

  1. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Second Schedule hereto regulation 11 (a–d) of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962, as to the limitation of speed, shall not apply in those rivers described in the First Schedule hereto.

  1. Cook River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Cook River above tidal influence upstream to the bridge on State Highway No. 6 and excluding the Fox River.

  2. Grey River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Grey River and its tributaries from its source to its confluence with Coal Creek.

  3. Hokitika River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Hokitika River above tidal influence.

  4. Karangarua River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Karangarua River and its tributaries above tidal influence upstream to its confluence with the Copland River.

  5. New River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the New River above tidal influence.

  6. Poerua River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Poerua River above tidal influence.

  7. Taramakau River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Taramakau River and its tributaries above tidal influence.

  8. Waiatoto River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Waiatoto River above tidal influence.

  9. Waitaha River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Waitaha River and its tributaries above tidal influence.

  10. Wanganui River - Westland Land District: All the waters of the Wanganui River above tidal influence.

SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. The provisions of the General Harbour (Nautical and Miscellaneous) Regulations 1968 (1968/239) shall, so far as applicable, apply at all times.

The Transport (Waybill Exemption) Notice 1975, No. 2

PURSUANT to section 109A of the Transport Act 1962, the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

  1. The heavy motor vehicles in the classes described in the First Schedule hereto are hereby exempted from the requirements of section 109A of the Transport Act 1962.
