New Zealand Cadet Forces

PURSUANT to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister
of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, pro-
motions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers,
and resignations of the New Zealand Cadet Forces:

SEA CADET CORPS

Resignation

Lieutenant Commander William Murton Wheeler resigns his
commission with effect from 31 May 1975.

AIR TRAINING CORPS

Appointment

Noel David Johnston is appointed to a commission in the
rank of Flight Lieutenant for a period of 3 years with effect
from 1 May 1975.

Promotions

Flying Officer P. Childerhouse to be Flight Lieutenant with
effect from 12 February 1975.
Pilot Officer R. O. Fairbrass to be Flying Officer with effect
from 9 April 1975.
Pilot Officer A. W. Bartlett to be Flying Officer with effect
from 1 May 1975.
Pilot Officer P. D. Reid to be Flying Officer with effect
from 3 May 1975.

Extensions

Squadron Leader M. D. Burns: with reference to the notice
published in the Gazette, 23 April 1975, No. 35, p. 917,
is cancelled and the following substituted:
"Squadron Leader M. D. Burns is granted an extension
of his commission until 31 March 1976."
Flying Officer J. S. Rogerson is granted an extension of
his commission until 7 March 1978.
Flying Officer E. C. McFarlane is granted an extension
of his commission until 25 March 1976.
Squadron Leader G. A. Kay is granted an extension of his
commission until 31 March 1978.
Flying Officer G. N. Carter is granted an extension of
his commission until 6 May 1978.
Flying Officer R. P. Byrne is granted an extension of his
commission until 6 May 1978.
Pilot Officer D. T. F. Finlay is granted an extension of
his commission until 27 May 1978.

SCHOOL CADET CORPS

Transfer

Lieutenant Douglas Seton Belsham is transferred from St.
Stephen's College Cadet Unit to Palmerston North Boys High
School Cadet Unit with effect from 19 May 1975.
