Alteration to the Scales of Charges Upon the New Zealand Government Railways—Amendment
No. 2

GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES

PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways hereby makes
the following alterations to the General Scale of Charges, published in the Supplement dated
the 3rd day of December 1973 to the New Zealand Gazette of the 29th day of November 1973
and hereby declares that such alterations shall come into force on the 5th day of June 1975.

  1. Special Fares for Northerner Services

Insert new section.

  1. (a) Fares—The following fares will be charged for travel on Northerner express services,
    between Wellington and Auckland and intermediate stations.

(i) Return Journeys will be charged twice the single journey fare.

(ii) Children—No charge will be made for children under 4 years of age travelling in the
care of a responsible person; children 4 years of age and under 15 years of age will be charged
half the above fares calculated to the next 5 cents.

(b) Special fares for sleeping berth accommodation on Northerner services (including fares
set out in paragraph 1 (a)) will be as follows:
