The Traffic (Thames County) Notice No. 1, 1975

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Thames County) Notice No. 1, 1975.

2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purpose of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The Traffic (Thames County) Notice 1966 dated the 22nd day of June 1966* under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 which relates to roads situated within Thames County at Whangamata is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Thames County at Whangamata:

All that area at Whangamata bounded by a line commencing at a point on the eastern side of the No. 25 State Highway (Pipiroa-Waihi via Coromandel) 100 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Achilles Avenue; thence southerly by a right line to the northern bank of the Otahu River; thence easterly generally along the said bank of the said river to the shore of the Bay of Plenty; thence northerly generally along the said shore to the mouth of the Whangamata Harbour; thence north-westerly generally along the shore of the said harbour to the mouth of the Moanaanuanu River; thence south-westerly generally along the eastern bank of the said river to the eastern side of the No. 25 State Highway (Pipiroa-Waihi via Coromandel); thence south-easterly generally along the eastern side of the said State highway to a point 60 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from Whangamata Port Road; thence across the said State highway at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence south-easterly and southerly generally along the western side of the said State highway to a point 100 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said State highway from Achilles Avenue; thence across the said State highway at right angles from its western side to the commencing point.

The Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1975

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1975.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

5. The Traffic (Bay of Islands County) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated the 19th day of April 1974† under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to roads situated within Bay of Islands County at Kerikeri is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within the Bay of Islands County at Russell:

All that area with the exception of the road described in the Third Schedule hereto bounded by a line commencing at the point where the eastern side of the Whakapara-Russell Road intersects the eastern side of the southern end of Florance Avenue; thence due west by a right line to the shoreline of the Bay of Islands; thence westerly, northerly, easterly, and southerly generally along the said shoreline to a point on the said shoreline due north of the eastern end of Long Beach Road; thence due south by a right line to the said end of the said road; thence south-westerly generally by a right line to the commencing point.

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County at Kerikeri:

Cobham Road: from Kerikeri Road to Hone Heke Road.
Hobson Road.
Hone Heke Road: from Cobham Road to a point 640 metres measured north-easterly generally along Hone Heke Road from Cobham Road.
Kerikeri Road: from a point 100 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from Hobson Avenue to a point 480 metres measured north-easterly generally along Kerikeri Road from Cobham Road.
Butler Road.
Homestead Road.
Clark Road.
King Road.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Bay of Islands County at Kerikeri:

Cobham Road: from Hone Heke Road to Kerikeri Inlet Road. Riverview Road from Kerikeri Road to a point 960 metres, measured easterly and southerly generally along Riverview Road from Kerikeri Road.

THIRD SCHEDULE

SITUATED within the Bay of Islands County at Russell:

Tapeka Point Road from a point 180 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Du Fresne Place to a point 220 metres measured northerly generally along Tapeka Point Road from Wellington Street.

Approval of Flashing Red Traffic Lights

Pursuant to subclause (5) of regulation 18 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as Traffic (Mount Eden Borough) Notice No. 1, 1975.

2. The Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights at the place described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of Traffic Control in terms of regulation 18 (4) of the Traffic Regulation 1956*.
