Reservation of Land and Declaration That The Reserve be the Okoki Domain

PURSUANT to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the reserve to be a public domain, subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to be known as the Okoki Domain.

Tanning Industry Training Board Notice 1975

PURSUANT to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Tanning Industry Training Board Notice 1975.

  2. (1) There shall be an Industrial Training Board for the Tanning Industry which shall be known as the Tanning Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following members:

(a) Four members appointed by the New Zealand Tanners Association.

(b) Two members appointed by the Trade Unions representing workers employed in the Tanning Industry. The members shall be employed in the tanning industry.

(c) One member appointed by the New Zealand Leather and Shoe Research Association (Inc.).

(d) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council.

(e) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Board may co-opt not more than three additional members.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause an appointed member shall hold office for a period of 1 year, but may from time to time be reappointed.

(2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board for a period not exceeding 1 year, but may if eligible be reappointed.

(3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the Chairman or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for three consecutive meetings, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.

(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.

(5) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

  1. (1) A deputy member may be appointed, in the same manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that member and act in the event of the absence of that member from any meeting or meetings of the Board.

(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Approval of Flashing Red Traffic Lights

PURSUANT to Regulation 18 (5) of the Traffic Regulations 1956, the Minister of Transport hereby consents to the erection of flashing red lights at the places described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of traffic control in terms of regulation 18 (4) of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Wanganui City on Portal Street at the points indicated on the plan TT. 4041 deposited in the Head Office of the Ministry of Transport, Aurora House, The Terrace, Wellington.

The Traffic (Hauraki Plains County) Notice No. 1, 1975

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hauraki Plains County) Notice No. 1, 1975.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  3. The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956* dated the 17th day of March 1958, which relates to State Highway No. 14 at Waitakaruru is hereby revoked.
