A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education
Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-
General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that
the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area
vested in the Otago Education Board as a site for a school,
shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and dis-
charged from every education trust affecting the same, but
subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affect-
ing the same at the date hereof.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT—MANIOTOTO COUNTY

SECTION 29, Block VII, Naseby Survey District: area, 4.0469
hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan 1222).

THE RIGHT HON. W. E. ROWLING PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974 and the Local
Government Commission Act 1967 (to the extent that it
continues in force in relation to this order), His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following
order.

ORDER

1. This order shall come into force on 1 April 1975.

2. The areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be
   excluded from the district of Horowhenua County and
   included in the district of Levin Borough.

SCHEDULE

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT—HOROWHENUA COUNTY

FIRSTLY, all that area containing 36 hectares, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle
of Fairfield Road in line with the south-western boundary
of Lot 16, D.P. 1824, and proceeding generally southerly to
and along that boundary, the north-western and south-western
boundaries of Lot 4C, D.P. 568, the south-eastern boundary
of Section 30, Block I, Waiopehu Survey District, the north-
eastern and south-eastern boundaries to Lot 1, D.P. 25533,
the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 28188, and its
production to the middle of No. 57 State Highway (Arapaepae
Road) and along the middle of the said State highway to
a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 1,
D.P. 28188; thence north-westerly and north-easterly along
the boundaries of the Borough of Levin as described in
Gazette, 1968, p. 108, to the point of commencement.

Secondly, all that area containing 86 hectares, more or
less, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle
of Arapaepae Road in line with the north-eastern boundary
of Lot 6, D.P. 30627, and proceeding south-westerly along
the middle of that road to the middle of Tararua Road; thence
north-westerly along the middle of that road to a point in
line with the north-western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 13474;
thence north-easterly and south-easterly along the boundaries
of the Borough of Levin as described in Gazette, 1968,
p. 108, to the point of commencement.

Thirdly, all that area containing 6.3540 hectares, more or
less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the south-
eastern side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway in
line with the middle line of Tararua Road and proceeding
westerly along the production of the said middle line to
the north-western side of the said railway; thence south-
westerly along that side to a point in line with the south-
western boundary of Section 20, Horowhenua Settlement;
thence generally north-westerly to and along that boundary,
the north-western boundary of the said Section 20, and the
south-western boundary of Section 47, Horowhenua Settle-
ment, and its production to the middle of Bruce Road;
thence north-easterly and generally south-easterly along the
boundaries of the Borough of Levin as described in Gazette,
1968, p. 108, to the point of commencement.

Fourthly, all that area containing 199 hectares, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner
of Lot 111, D.P. 688, and proceeding generally westerly along
the south-western side of Makomako Road, the north-western
boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 14138, the production of the southern
boundary of the said Lot 2 to the south-eastern boundary
of Section 79, Horowhenua Settlement, along that boundary
to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 82 and
81, Horowhenua Settlement, the north-western boundary of
the said Section 81, and the north-eastern side of Hokio
Beach Road to a point in line with the north-western bound-
ary of Section 80, Horowhenua Settlement; thence generally
north-easterly to and along the north-western boundaries of
Sections 80 and 77, Horowhenua Settlement, the south-western
side of Makomako Road, the abutment of the said road,
the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 4140, the north-
western and north-eastern boundaries of Horowhenua 11B39,
and the north-western boundary of Section 20, Block I,
Waiopehu Survey District, and its production to the middle
of a road line; thence south-easterly along the middle of
that road line to and along the middle of the original 10.06
metre width of Kawiu Road to a point in line with the
south-eastern boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 16312; thence south-
westerly and south-easterly along the boundaries of the
Borough of Levin as described in Gazette, 1968, p. 108,
to the point of commencement.

Fifthly, all that area containing 94 hectares, more or less,
bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle
of the original 10.06 metre width of Kawiu Road in line
with the north-western boundary of Lot 6, D.P. 25375, and
proceeding generally easterly to and along that boundary,
the north-eastern boundary of the said Lot 6, the north-
western side of Patikei Road to a point in line with the
north-eastern boundary of Horowhenua A4, to and along
that boundary, the north-western boundaries of Horowhenua
11B36–2JB and Lot 1, D.P. 27783, and the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 1 and 2, D.P. 27783, and Horowhenua
11B36–2K3, and their production to the eastern side of No. 1
State Highway (The Avenue); thence southerly along that
side to a point in line with the south-western boundary of
Horowhenua 11B36–2JA; thence generally westerly along the
boundaries of the Borough of Levin as described in Gazette,
1968, p. 108, to the point of commencement.
