PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.
NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development
    Notice Wanganui 1974, No. 5.
  2. The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
    released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

    Fixing the Ward Representation of the Manawatu Pest
    Destruction District (No. 913 Ag. 20891A)
    PURSUANT to section 33 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Manawatu Pest Destruction Board hereby
    fixes the number of members to be elected for each ward
    of its district to be that specified opposite the name of each
    ward in the Schedule hereto.

    Pork Marketing Board—Pork Meat Basic Price Notice No. 2,
    1974
    PURSUANT to regulation 13 of the Pork Marketing Board
    Regulations 1973, the Pork Marketing Board hereby gives
    the following notice.
    NOTICE

  4. This notice may be cited as the Pork Meat Basic Price
    Notice No. 2, 1974.
  5. This notice shall be operable from the date of publication in the Gazette.
  6. This notice fixes the basic f.o.b. price for pork meat
    as specified in the following Schedule.
    SCHEDULE
    "WILTSHIRE SIDES" of a weight not less than 25 kg and not
    exceeding 35 kg graded prime quality: 127.68c per kg, f.o.b.
    all meat export ports.
    "Headless Sides" (½ backbone in) of a weight not less
    than 25.5 kg and not exceeding 36 kg graded prime quality:
    124.6c per kg, f.o.b. all meat export ports.
    "Headless Porker Sides" of a weight not less than 12 kg
    and not exceeding 25 kg graded prime quality: 116.16c per kg,
    f.o.b. all meat export ports.

    Declaration of Result of Election of Potato Growers'
    Representative on the Potato Board
    I, Neil John McHugh, Returning Officer of the Potato Board
    election, do hereby declare that George Edward Wright, being
    the only person nominated to represent the Central Ward
    on the Potato Board, is elected a member of the Board
    as from the 25th day of September 1974.

    Price Order No. 2288 (Swaziland Oranges)
    PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, I, Maurice John
    Belgrave, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade
    and Industry acting under a delegation from the Price
    Tribunal, hereby make the following price order:
  7. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2288 and
    shall come into force on the 27th day of September 1974.
  8. References in this order to metropolitan areas are
    references to the metropolitan areas described in the Schedule
    hereto.
    APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
  9. This order applies with respect to all Swaziland oranges
    sold by way of retail in New Zealand.
    MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF SWAZILAND ORANGES
  10. (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received
    by any retailer for Swaziland oranges to which this order
    applies shall be:
    (a) When sold by a retailer carrying on business in any of
    the metropolitan areas of Auckland, Wellington,
    Christchurch, or Dunedin, or in any of the Cities
    or Boroughs of Whangarei, Takapuna, Hamilton,
    Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Strat-
    ford, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier,
    Hastings, Masterton, Blenheim, Nelson, Greyouth,
    Timaru, Westport, Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore, or
    Invercargill—
    24 cents per lb.
    (b) When sold by a retailer carrying on business elsewhere—
    1 lb, 25 cents;
    2 lb, 49 cents;
    3 lb, 74 cents;
    4 lb, 98 cents;
    5 lb, $1.23;
    6 lb, $1.47.
    Fractions of a pound shall be calculated at the rate of
    25 cents per pound. Quantities in excess of 6 lb shall be
    calculated at the rate of 24½ cents per pound.
    (2) If in respect of any lot of oranges sold by a retailer
    the maximum price calculated in accordance with the fore-
    going provisions of this clause is not an exact number of
    cents, the maximum price of the lot may be computed to the
    nearest whole cent.
    PROVISIONS FOR SPECIAL PRICES
  11. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the fore-
    going provisions of this order, and subject to such conditions,
    if any, as it thinks fit, the Tribunal, on application by any
    retailer, may authorise special maximum prices in respect of
    any Swaziland oranges to which this order applies where
    special circumstances exist, or for any reason extraordinary
