Division of Te Anau Basin Pest Destruction District into Wards (No. 880 Ag. 20891A)
PURSUANT to section 21 of the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, the Te Anau Basin Pest Destruction Board hereby gives notice that the Te Anau Basin Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 9th day of October 1972* is hereby divided into wards, the names and boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
MOUNTAIN WARD
ALL that area in the Counties of Wallace and Lake, Southland and Otago Land Districts containing an estimated area of 452 170 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point being the intersection of a right line between Cone Peak and the northernmost peak of the Jackson Peaks with the southern shore of Lake Manapouri and proceeding thence in a generally south-easterly direction along the boundaries of Lynwood Ward as hereinafter described to the southern boundary of Te Anau Basin Pest Destruction District; thence easterly, northerly, westerly, and southerly generally along the generally southern, eastern, northern, and western boundaries of the Te Anau Basin Pest Destruction District to the point of commencement.
LYNW00D WARD
ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Wallace County, containing by estimation 77 030 hectares, more or less, commencing at Crescent Mountain in Borland Survey District; thence northerly along right lines to Flat Mountain and Cone Peak; thence northerly to the intersection of a right line to the northernmost peak of Jackson Peaks with the southern shore of Lake Manapouri; thence easterly and northerly along the southern and eastern shores of Lake Manapouri to the left bank of the Upper Waiau River; thence north-easterly generally along that left bank to Lake Te Anau; thence northerly along the eastern shore of Lake Te Anau to the northern boundary of part Run 301B; thence easterly along that northern boundary to the right bank of the Upukerora River; thence north-easterly along the right bank of the Upukerora River to the generally northern boundary of Block VI, Te Anau Survey District; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Block VI, Te Anau Survey District, to the eastern corner of State forest (New Zealand Gazette, 1922, p. 1025); thence north-easterly and south-westerly generally along the boundaries of State forest to the intersection with the north-western boundary of Run 641 in Block I, Te Anau Survey District; thence southerly along the western boundaries of Runs 641, 640, and part 566 to the north-western corner of Section 13, Block II, Mararoa Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of the aforesaid Section 13 to the western boundary of Run 603; thence southerly along the western boundary of Run 603 and that boundary produced to the right bank of the Mararoa River; thence westerly along the right bank of the Mararoa River to a point due north of the confluence of Bridge Creek with the Mararoa River; thence due south to the mouth of Bridge Creek and easterly along that creek to its intersection with a legal road; thence southerly along the western side of that legal road to the south-eastern corner of Section 227, Block II, Takitimu Survey District; thence westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 5195 to the northern side of Blackmount-Redcliff Road; thence south-westerly along the north-western side of the Blackmount-Redcliff Road to the left bank of the Whare Creek; thence westerly along that west bank to the Waiau River; thence southerly along the left bank of the Waiau River to its intersection with the southern boundary of the Te Anau Basin Pest Destruction District, hereinbefore described; thence westerly along the aforesaid Pest Destruction District to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, the Counties of Tuapeka, Vincent, and Southland and the Borough of Roxburgh containing 22 860 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at the westernmost corner of part Run 500 in Block VIII, Teviot Survey District, and proceeding generally easterly along the northern boundary of that run to the western shore of Lake Roxburgh in Block III, Cairnhill Survey District; thence generally southerly along that bank and the western bank of the Clutha River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 86, Block I, Benger Survey District; thence south-westerly and north-westerly to and along that boundary and the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 8, Block I, aforesaid, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 1132R; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary to the north-eastern boundary of Section 17S, Westcott Settlement, Block IV; thence generally north-westerly and south-westerly along that boundary and the north-western boundaries of the said Section 17S and Section 18S to the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned section; thence generally north-westerly and westerly along the generally north-eastern and northern boundaries of Runs 592A and 592 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the middle of the Pomahaka River in Block IV, Wart Hill Survey District; thence generally northerly along the middle of that river and the Otago Land District boundary as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1955, p. 676, to the northernmost corner of Run 758; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of that run to the point of commencement.
ROXBURGH EAST WARD
ALL that area in the Otago Land District and Tuapeka and Vincent Counties containing 22 020 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western shore of Lake Roxburgh in line with the north-eastern boundary of Part Run 570, Cairnhill Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly and southerly to and along that boundary and the eastern boundary of the said run to a point in line with the northern boundary of Run 262I in Block XIV; thence easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the western boundary of Run 569 in Block XVI; thence generally south-westerly, north-easterly, and south-easterly along the generally north-western south-eastern, and south-western boundaries of that run to its southernmost corner in Block XVI, Teviot Survey District; thence generally south-westerly along the north-western boundaries of Runs 641 and 639 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the centre of the Teviot River in Block XXIII; thence generally westerly along the middle of that river to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 26S, Teviot Settlement in Block VI; thence generally south-westerly to and along that boundary and its production to the western side of Wright Road; thence generally southerly along that boundary, the western side of Smiths Road, and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the southern side of the Roxburgh-Millers Flat Road; thence generally south-easterly along the southern side of that road to the south-eastern boundary of Section 48S, Teviot Settlement in Block VII; thence south-westerly along that boundary and its production to the western bank of the Clutha River; thence generally north-westerly and northerly along that boundary and the western shore of Lake Roxburgh to the point of commencement.
MILLERS FLAT WARD
ALL that area in the Otago Land District and the Tuapeka, Maniototo, and Vincent Counties containing 61 830 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western bank of the Clutha River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 48S, Teviot Settlement, Block VII, Benger Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly to and along that boundary to the south-western boundary of the Roxburgh-Millers Flat Road; thence generally north-westerly along that boundary to a point in line with the western boundary of Smiths Road; thence generally northerly to and along that boundary and the western boundary of Wright Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Section 26S, Teviot Settlement in Block VI, Teviot Survey District; thence generally north-easterly to and along that boundary and its production to the centre of the Teviot River; thence generally easterly
