ALL that area in the Otago Land District and Tuapeka County
containing 27 980 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line
commencing at the north-western corner of Section 18S,
Westcott Settlement in Block IV, Benger Survey District,
and proceeding generally north-easterly and south-easterly
along the north-western and north-eastern boundaries of
Sections 18S and 17S, Wescott Settlement, to the north-
western corner of Section 1132R in Block I; thence north-
easterly along the north-western boundary of the said Section
1132R and its production to the south-western boundary of
Section 8; thence south-easterly and north-easterly along the
south-western and south-eastern boundaries of the said
Section 8, the south-eastern boundary of Section 86 and
the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the western
bank of the Clutha River; thence generally south-easterly
and southerly along that bank and its production to the
middle of the Blackcleugh Burn on the boundary of
Block VIII, Rankleburn Survey District; thence generally
north-westerly along the middle of the Blackcleugh Burn to
the southern boundary of Block XX, Crookston Survey
District; thence westerly along that boundary to its south-
western corner; thence generally north-easterly along a right
line to Trig. Station U, and along a right line to a point
1.6 kilometres due west of the south-eastern corner of
Block XIX, Crookston Survey District; thence due east to
that corner; thence northerly along the eastern boundary
of Block XIX, aforesaid, to the northern side of an
unsurveyed road passing through State forest and Run 708;
thence generally south-westerly along the north-western side
of that road to the western boundary of Run 708; thence
northerly along that boundary and its production to the
south-western corner of Section 11, Block XVI, Crookston
Survey District; thence generally easterly, northerly, and
westerly along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries
of Section 11, aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of
Block XIII; thence northerly along that boundary and the
eastern boundary of Section 14, Block XVII, Crookston
Survey District, to the north-western corner of Section 13,
Block XVII, aforesaid; thence generally easterly along the
northern boundary of that section and Sections 12, 23, and
11 and the production of the last-mentioned boundary to
the southern boundary of Section 10, Block XVII, aforesaid;
thence generally north-westerly along the south-western bound-
aries of Sections 10 and 9, Block XVII, aforesaid, and Lot 6,
D.P. 1864 to the northernmost corner of Lot 8, D.P. 1924;
thence generally westerly along the northern boundaries of
Lots 8 and 9, D.P. 1924, to the eastern side of the Moa
Flat School Road in Block VI; thence generally north-
westerly along the north-eastern side of that road to its
junction with the eastern side of the Heriot-Roxburgh via
Moa Flat Road in Block VI, Benger Survey District; thence
northerly along the eastern side of that road to a point
in line with the south-western boundary of Run 698; thence
generally north-westerly to and along the south-western bound-
aries of Runs 698 and 696, and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the middle of the Pomahaka River
in Block XIII, Wart Hill Survey District; thence generally
northerly along the middle of that river to a point in line
with the northern boundary of Run 592, in Block IV, Wart
Hill Survey District; thence generally south-easterly to and
along the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Runs 592
and 592A, and the production of the north-eastern bound-
ary of Run 592A to the eastern side of Mount Benger
Road in Block V; thence generally southerly along the
eastern side of that road to the northern boundary of

Run 592A; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along
the northern and north-eastern boundaries of that run to
the point of commencement.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Auckland Thermal
No. 1 Power Station
THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it
has received an environmental impact report on the 6 possible
sites for the Auckland Thermal No. 1 power station, including
sites on the Kaipara and Manukau Harbours, on the West
Coast and on the Firth of Thames. Representations in writ-
ing on the environmental aspects of the project, as it is
explained in the report, will be received at the office of
the Commission, P.O. Box 12–042, Wellington, until Thursday,
31 October 1974.
Copies of the report may be purchased from all Government
Publications bookshops (or Government Publications Book-
shop, P.O. Box 5344, Auckland) and may be seen at Public
libraries in Manurewa, Helensville, Papakura, Waiuku, Auck-
land, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin, the Hocken
Library and the libraries of the 7 university institutions.
