western boundary of the Lower Rakaia Ward hereinbefore
described; thence south-westerly generally along that bound-
ary to the middle of the Rakaia River; thence north-westerly
generally up the middle of that river to the confluence of
the Rakaia River and the Louper Stream in Block IV,
Ramsay Survey District; thence north-easterly up the middle
of that stream to Whitcombe Pass on the summit of the
Main Divide; thence north-easterly generally along that
summit to the point of commencement.
TAWERA WARD
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Malvern
County, containing 246 600 hectares (609,370 acres), more
or less, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection
of the northern boundary of Block VI, Davie Survey District,
and the summit of the Main Divide and proceeding north-
easterly generally along that summit to the summit of the
Dampier Range in Block II, Minchin Survey District; thence
south-easterly and south-westerly generally along the summits
of the Dampier and the Puketeraki Ranges to Trig. Station S
(Black Hill) in Block IX, Upper Ashley Survey District;
thence due west to the middle of the Waimakariri River;
thence southerly generally down the middle of that river
to the confluence of the Waimakariri and Kowai Rivers
in Block VIII, Kowai Survey District; thence south-westerly
up the middle of the Kowai River to a point in line with
the south-western boundary of Reserve 461; thence south-
easterly generally to and along that boundary to a point
in line with the middle of that portion of Keens Road
forming the southern boundary of Rural Section 4649; thence
westerly to and along the middle of that portion of road
and south-westerly generally along the middle of Keens Road
and Coxs Road to a point in line with the north-eastern
boundary of Rural Section 18979 in Block XII, Kowai
Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line to
the north-eastern corner of Rural Section 13715 and con-
tinuing south-easterly along another right line to the inter-
section of the eastern boundary of Rural Section 15714
and the north-western side of Barrs Road in Block XVI,
Kowai Survey District; thence southerly to and along the
western boundary of Rural Section 3719 to its south-western
corner; thence south-westerly along a right line to the north-
eastern corner of Rural Section 10759 and continuing
south-westerly along another right line to the northernmost
corner of Lot 1, D.P. 3973, in Block III, Hororata Survey
District; thence south-westerly along the north-western bound-
ary of that lot for a distance of 402 metres (20 chains);
thence due west to the middle of the Selwyn River; thence
westerly generally up the middle of that river to the con-
fluence of the Selwyn River and the North Branch of the
Selwyn River, being a point on the north-eastern boundary
of the Upper Rakaia Ward hereinbefore described; thence
north-westerly generally along that boundary to the point
of commencement.

Ashley Counties bounded by a line commencing at Trig.
Station S (Black Hill) in Block IX, Upper Ashley Survey
District, and proceeding north-easterly generally along the
summit of the Puketeraki Range to Ashley Head in Block XII,
Esk Survey District; thence south-easterly along a right line
to Trig. Station L (Block Hill) in Block X, Okuku Survey
District; thence south-easterly along a right line between that
trig. station and the source of the south branch of the
Waipara River in Block XI, Okuku Survey District, to the
middle of the Okuku River; thence south-easterly generally
down the middle of the Okuku River to its confluence with
the Ashley River; thence westerly generally up the middle
of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern bound-
ary of Run 300 in Block XV, Upper Ashley Survey District;
thence south-westerly generally to and along that boundary
to Trig. Station C in Block XIV, Upper Ashley Survey
District; thence north-westerly along a right line to the point
of commencement.
BOUNDARIES OF THE LOBURN WARD
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Ashley County,
bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle
of the Okuku River on a right line between Trig. Station L
(Block Hill) in Block X, Okuku Survey District, and the
source of the South Branch of the Waipara River in Block XI,
Okuku Survey District, being a point on the north-eastern
boundary of the Mount Thomas Ward hereinbefore described,
and proceeding south-easterly along that right line to the
said source; thence south-easterly generally down the middle
of that river and the Waipara River to its confluence with
the stream forming the south-eastern boundary of Rural
Section 34256 in Block II, Grey Survey District; thence
southerly generally up the middle of that stream to a
point in line with the southern boundary of Rural Section
34257; thence westerly to and along that boundary and
northerly along the western boundary of that section to the
southern boundary of Rural Section 34256; thence westerly
along that boundary and the southern boundary of Rural
Section 33149 to the western boundary of Rural Section
37021; thence southerly generally along that boundary to
the summit, south-west of Trig. Station O in Block I, Grey
Survey District, of the ridge leading to Trig. Station P (Mount
Grey) in Block VI, Grey Survey District; thence south-
easterly generally along that ridge to the said Trig. Station P
(Mount Grey); thence southerly generally along the summit
of the ridge leading to the northernmost corner of Rural
Section 34744 in Block X, Grey Survey District to that
corner; thence due south to the middle of Loburn and
Kowai Road; thence southerly generally along the middle
of that road to a point in line with the middle of the
closed road forming the north-eastern boundary of Rural
Section 34532; thence south-easterly to and along the middle
of that closed road to a point in line with the south-eastern
boundary of Rural Section 34532; thence south-westerly to and
along that boundary and its production to the middle of the
Makerikeri River; thence southerly generally down the middle
of that river to a point in line with the north-eastern bound-
ary of Lot 1, D.P. 3601, in Block XIII, Grey Survey District;
thence south-easterly along a right line to the easternmost
corner of Rural Section 5654 in Block XIV, Grey Survey
District; thence southerly along a right line aligned through
the westernmost corner of Rural Section 8820 in Block II,

road to a point in line with the southern side of Fawcetts

BOUNDARIES OF THE AMBERLEY WARD
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Ashley
County, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence
of the Waipara River and the stream forming the south-
eastern boundary of Rural Section 34256 in Block II, Grey
Survey District, being a point on the eastern boundary of
the Loburn Ward hereinbefore described, and proceeding
south-easterly generally down the middle of the Waipara
River to the mean high-water mark of the sea; thence
south-westerly generally along that mean high-water mark
to the right bank of the Kowai River; thence north-westerly
generally along the right banks of that river and the South
Division of Ashley Pest Destruction District into Wards
(No. 879 Ag. 20891A)
PURSUANT to section 21 of the Agricultural Pests Destruc-
tion Act 1967, the Ashley Pest Destruction Board hereby
gives notice that the Ashley Pest Destruction District which
was constituted by Order in Council on the 18th day of
March 1974* is hereby divided into wards, the names and
boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule hereto.
