namely, river protection purposes; and for the purposes of
such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken and notice is hereby further given
that a plan of the lands which are required to be taken
being Survey Office plan No. 28788 is deposited at the offices
of the Wellington Regional Water Board, Third Floor, M.E.D.
Building, Lower Cuba Street, Wellington, the respective pieces
of land described in the said Schedule being more particularly
delineated on such plan and is there open for inspection
without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and
that any person affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of the said lands or any of them
should, if he has any objection to the execution of the said
public work or to the taking of the said lands or any of
them, not being an objection to the amount or payment of
compensation, send his written objection within forty (40)
days from the first publication of this notice to the Town
and Country Planning Appeal Board, P.O. Box 12-244,
Wellington North, and notice is hereby further given that
if any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of
the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise
requires, and that each objector will be advised of the time
and place of the hearing and at that hearing each objector
will be advised of the reasons for the proposed taking.

PAHIATUA COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Counties Act 1956, and the Public
Works Act 1928, and in the matter of the Tuataekara
Bridge over Mangatainoka River:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Pahiatua County Council
proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts
to execute a certain public work, namely, the providing of
land for the purpose of road and river protection and for
the purpose of such public work the lands described in the
Schedule hereto are required to be taken. And notice is
further given that a plan of the lands so required to be
taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk
to the said Council situate in Main Street in the Borough
of Pahiatua, and is open for inspection without fee by all
persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking
of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to
the execution of the said public work or to the taking of
the said lands must state their objection in writing, and
send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication
of this notice to the County Clerk at the Pahiatua
Council Chambers, Main Street, Pahiatua.

VARIATION IN APPOINTMENT OF MANAGING RATEPAYERS--
FITZHERBERT WEST WATER RACE DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of the Kairanga
County Council held on Tuesday, 30 July 1974, the following
resolution was passed:

That the Special Order passed by the Kairanga County
Council on 19 January 1932, appointing managing ratepayers
of the Fitzherbert West Water Race District, and amended
by resolution of the Council on 12 October 1937, 9 October
1944, 10 May 1949, 10 March 1953, 11 May 1954, 28 February
1961, 8 March 1962, 11 August 1964, 13 August 1968 and
26 May 1970, be further amended on account of a vacancy
occurring on the committee by the resignation of Cyril Collis,
by the appointment thereon of Desmond Joseph Martin as
his successor, the members of the said Committee being now
as hereunder:

Malcolm Mexted Greer,
John Eric Hight,
Noel Charles James,
Desmond Joseph Martin, and
Desmond Joseph O'Connor.

AUCKLAND REGIONAL AUTHORITY

SPECIAL ORDER

THE Auckland Regional Authority in exercise of the powers
vested in it by the Auckland Regional Authority Act 1963,
section 43, and in pursuance of the authority conferred upon
it under the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, and in
exercise of all the powers enabling it on that behalf doth
hereby resolve by special resolution intended to operate as
a special order to raise the sum of ten million dollars
($10,000,000) as a special loan to be known as Drainage
Loan No. 81, 1973; $10,000,000 for the purposes of and
incidental to the extending of the Manukau sewage purification
works. The foregoing special order was passed at an
ordinary meeting of the Auckland Regional Authority held
on 15 July 1974, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting
of the said authority held on 19 August 1974, having meantime
been advertised in the Auckland Star, on 24 July and
7 August.

The Common Seal of the Auckland Regional Authority
was hereunto affixed in the presence of the Chairman and
Secretary.
