Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block XVI, Mangaoporo Survey District, Waiapu County, for State Housing Purposes

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for State housing purposes the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land to be used in the development of an area of land into residential sections: And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Ruatoria and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

Gisborne Land District
ALL that piece of land containing 1 rood and 1 perch situated in the Gisborne R.D., and being Section 19, Block XVI, Mangaoporo Survey District. All certificate of title, No. 96/124, Gisborne Land Registry; as shown on plan M.O.W. 27927 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon edged red.

The land is situated in Mangakino-Waiomatatini Road in Ruatoria, and is a vacant section, having three houses between it and the combined police station and courthouse to the south.
