The Traffic (Thames County) Notice No. 1, 1974
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Thames County) Notice No. 1, 1974.
- The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
- The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
- The notice under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 dated the 10th day of March 1961†, which relates to portions of the No. 25 State Highway in Thames County is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Situated within Thames County at Waiomu Bay:
No. 25 State Highway (Pipiroa-Waihi via Coromandel); from a point 480 metres measured southerly generally along the said state highway from Waiomu Road to a point 640 metres measured northerly generally along the said state highway from the said road.
SECOND SCHEDULE
Situated within Thames County at Thorntons Bay and Ngarimu Bay:
No. 25 State Highway (Pipiroa-Waihi via Coromandel): from Lockhart Place to a point 1,720 metres measured northerly generally along the said state highway from the said road.

The Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1974
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
- This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1974.
- The locality specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
- The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.
- The Traffic (Taranaki County) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated the 24th day of May 1973† under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to a locality and a road situated within Taranaki County is hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
Situated within Taranaki County at Glenavon:
All that area commencing at a point where the right bank of the Waiwhakaiho River intersects with the eastern boundary of Smart Road, thence generally southerly along the said right bank of the Waiwhakaiho River to the northern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 4952, thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of Lot 2, D.P. 4952, part Lot 1, D.P. 4952, and part Sub. 5, D.P. 880, to the western side of Smart Road, thence generally northerly along the western side of Smart Road to and across the Railway Reserve to the northern side of that reserve thence along a right line across Smart Road in an easterly direction to the eastern side of that road, thence generally northerly along the eastern side of Smart Road (to and across State Highway No. 3) to the point of commencement.
SECOND SCHEDULE
Situated within the County of Taranaki adjacent to New Plymouth:
No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth): from the eastern boundary of Smart Road to a point 40 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said state highway from the said road.
Carrington Road: from the southern boundary of New Plymouth to a point 380 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Saxton Road.
