Licensing the City of Manukau to Occupy a Site for an
Emergency Pumping Station Overflow at Pakuranga Creek

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter
Edward Muers, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise
of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby
license and permit the City of Manukau (hereinafter called
the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns
unless the context requires a different construction) to use
and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Pakuranga
Creek, as shown on plan marked M.D. 15277 and deposited
in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington,
for the purpose of maintaining thereon an emergency pumping
station overflow as shown on the said plan, such licence
to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject
to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations
1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the
1st day of July 1974.

(3) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be
ten cents (10c) payable on demand; provided always that
the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the
end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said
term.

Revoking the Foreshore Licence Authorising Southland Farms
Improvements Limited to Occupy a Site for Two Jetties
and Barge Winching Wires in Waiau River

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers,
of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated
by the Minister of Transport hereby give notice that the
licence of 3 May 1968* authorising Southland Farms Improvements
Limited to use and occupy parts of the bed of the
Waiau River, for the purpose of maintaining thereon
two jetties and winching wires for the operation of a barge
across the river, is hereby revoked.

Amendment to Urewera, Egmont, Abel Tasman, Nelson Lakes,
Arthur's Pass, Mount Cook and Mount Aspiring National
Parks Bylaws

PURSUANT to the National Parks Act 1952, resolutions have
been passed by each of the Urewera, Egmont, Abel Tasman,
Nelson Lakes, Arthur's Pass, Mount Cook, and Mount
Aspiring National Park Boards, resolving that a new bylaw
be made as set out in the Schedule hereto, and such resolution
has been approved by the National Parks Authority;
and further, pursuant to the said Act, the Abel Tasman
National Park Board has revoked a bylaw made in respect
of spotlighting as notified in the New Zealand Gazette, dated
14 December 1972, and such revocation has been approved
by the National Parks Authority.

It is therefore declared that the said bylaws have been
amended accordingly.

SCHEDULE

SPOTLIGHTING

No person, whether or not the holder of a permit for the
use of a firearm within the park, shall use or attempt to
use a spotlight, or other source of artificial light as an aid
to hunting, without the prior written permission of the Board.

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act
1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities
Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant
Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated

Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
New Zealand standard specification is being circulated:

DZ 8404 Treatment, grading, and classification of freezer
and abattoir quality green hides. Metric units.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and
who may desire to comment thereon may, upon application,
obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of
New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street (or
Private Bag), Wellington. Additional copies are obtainable
at 50c a copy from the same address.

NOTE—The closing date for the receipt of comment is
30 September 1974.
