The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendments to New Zealand
Standard Specifications Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards
Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft
amendments are being circulated:

Number and Description of Drafts
DZ 1585 Draft Amendment to NZS 1585, Industrial safety
helmets (medium protection).
DZ 2264 Draft Amendment to NZS 2264, Industrial safety
helmets (maximum protection).

All persons who may be affected by these amendments
and who desire to comment thereon, may, on application,
obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of
New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15-23 Sturdee Street
(or Private Bag), Wellington 1.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 16 August
1974.

The Standards Act 1965—Standard Specifications Proposed
for Revocation
NOTICE is hereby given that the New Zealand standard
specifications listed in the Schedule hereto have been reviewed
by committees of the Standards Council and have been
recommended for revocation, pursuant to the provisions of
the Standards Act 1965.

Any person who may be affected by the proposal to revoke
these standard specifications, and who wishes to object to
their revocation, is invited to submit comments to the
Standards Association of New Zealand, Private Bag, Welling-
ton, not later than 2 August 1974.

NZS 907:1965 (BS 573:1964) Di-n-butyl phthalate.
NZS 908:1965 (BS 574:1964) Diethyl phthalate.
NZS 1658:1964 (BS 3241:1960) Toughened polystyrene for
sheet extrusion.
NZS 2059:1965 (BS 3840:1965) Polyester dough moulding
compounds.
†NZS 2060:1965 (BS 3867:1965) Dimensions of pipes of
plastics materials (outside diameters).
*Proposed for revocation on the grounds of non-usage.
†A later edition of the British standard has been proposed
for endorsement as suitable for use in New Zealand.
