The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-per-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

So much of the Traffic (Timaru City) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated the 16th day of October 1973† under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to roads situated within Timaru City and Levels County is hereby revoked.

SITUATED within Timaru City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 50 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Jellicoe Street to the northern boundary of Timaru City.
No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton): from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to the northern boundary of Timaru City.
Ascot Street.
Blair Street.
Doncaster Street.
Elginshire Street.
Holmglen Street.
Jellicoe Street: from a point 50 metres measured westerly generally along Jellicoe Street from Tasman Street to Old North Road.
Kellands Hill Road: from Pages Road to the northern boundary of Timaru City.

Mahoneys Hill Road.
Martin Street.
Meadows Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to the northern boundary of Timaru City.
Mountain View Road: from Pages Road to a point 400 metres measured southerly generally along Mountain View Road from Pages Road.
Old North Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 50 metres measured northerly generally along Old North Road from the Taitarakihi Creek Bridge.
Pages Road: from a point 50 metres measured north-westerly generally along Pages Road from Morgans Road to the western boundary of Timaru City.
Seadown Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to the northern boundary of Timaru City.
Treneglos Street.
Washdyke Flat Road: from No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to the western boundary of Timaru City.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Timaru City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 50 metres measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Jellicoe Street to the northern boundary of Timaru City.
No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton): from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 80 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from Laughton Street.

Seadown Road: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 50 metres measured south-westerly generally along Seadown Road from Treneglos Street.
Washdyke Flat Road: from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) to a point 160 metres measured westerly generally along Washdyke Flat Road from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).
SITUATED within Levels County adjacent to Timaru City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from the northern boundary of Timaru City to a point 1300 metres measured northerly generally along the said highway from No. 8 State Highway (Timaru-Milton).

PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for State housing purposes from and after the 18th day of June 1974.
