The Traffic (Opotiki County) Notice No. 1, 1974

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Opotiki County) Notice No. 1, 1974.

2. The area and the roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The Traffic (Opotiki County) Notice No. 1, 1971, dated the 22nd day of September 1971 under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, which relates to roads situated within Opotiki County adjacent to Opotiki Borough is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area at Opotiki contained within a line commencing at a point on the south-western end of Union Street on the bank of the Waioeka River; thence north-easterly and south-easterly generally along the bank of the Waioeka River, Opotiki Harbour, and Otara River bank, to a point adjacent to the eastern end of Duke Street, thence westerly by a right line along the southern side of Duke Street to the commencing point.

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from the south-western end of Forsyth Street at the eastern end of Waioeka River Bridge; to a point 100 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from Hikutaia Road.

Hikutaia Road: from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 1,000 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from the said State highway.

SECOND SCHEDULE

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from a point 240 metres measured southerly generally from Wellington Street along the said State highway to a point 680 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Wellington Street.

Grant Road: from Woodlands Road to a point 800 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Woodlands Road.

Woodlands Road: from Hikutaia Road to a point 220 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Roache Road.

The Traffic (Hastings City) Notice No. 1, 1974

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hastings City) Notice No. 1, 1974.

2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. So much of the notice under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, dated the 12th day of February 1969†, which relates to No. 2 State Highway in Hastings City is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Hastings City:

No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne): from a point 400 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said highway from Southampton Street to the south-western boundary of Hastings City.

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waimairi County and Riccarton Borough) Notice No. 2, 1974.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

5. The Traffic (Waimairi County and Riccarton Borough) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated the 22nd day of January 1974†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulations 27 and 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relates to roads situated within Waimairi County, is hereby revoked.
