NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE MINERAL RIGHTS UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei City Council, having entered into an agreement under section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto, for street, now proposes to take all mines, veins, seams, and beds of coal, and other minerals lying or being under the said land as excepted and reserved by conveyance 207651 (R. 178/526). All persons affected and who have any objections to the taking of the said mineral rights must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the General Manager and Town Clerk, at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei. If any such objection is made, a public hearing of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

AWATERE COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the Awatere County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing the annual charges on a loan of $60,000 authorised to be raised by the Awatere County Council, under the above-mentioned Act, for financing of farm dwellings under the provisions of the Rural Housing Act, the said Awatere County Council hereby makes a special rate of 0.07395 of a cent in the dollar upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the whole County of Awatere and that the special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of 25 years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
