The Traffic (Edendale Town District) Notice No. 1, 1974

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Edendale Town District) Notice No. 1, 1974.

2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The Traffic (Edendale Town District) Notice 1967, dated the 23rd day of November 1967†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to roads situated within Edendale Town District, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Edendale Town District:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from the northern boundary of Edendale Town District to a point 300 metres measured northerly generally along the said State highway from Ferry Road.

Ferry Road: from the eastern boundary of Edendale Town District to a point 40 metres measured westerly generally along the said road from Village Road.

Edendale - Seaward Downs Road: from the southern boundary of Edendale Town District to a point 100 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Turner Street.

The Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice No. 1, 1974

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Ashburton County) Notice No. 1, 1974.

2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

3. The notice under regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, dated the 21st day of March 1958†, which relates to a portion of a road situated within Ashburton County, is hereby revoked.

4. So much of the Traffic (60-miles-an-hour) Notice No. 4, 1969, dated the 16th day of September 1969‡, under regulation 27B of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, as relates to the section of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) within Ashburton County from a point 20 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Cracroft Street to a point 50 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from the said road is hereby revoked.
