District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 1st day of December 1948†), are hereby declared united to form one district to be called the Kurow Pest Destruction District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
- The basis on which the Board for the said District shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Union of Waimate, Otaio, Upper Pareora, Opihi, Albury, Four Peaks, Rangitata, and Rangitata Gorge Pest Destruction Districts Order 1974.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1974.

The boundaries of the Waimate Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 2nd day of February 1944*), the Otaio Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of November 1943†), the Upper Pareora Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 16th day of June 1943‡), the Opihi Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 22nd day of September 1943§), the Albury Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 28th day of September 1949||), the Four Peaks Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 24th day of August 1949¶), the Rangitata Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 27th day of August 1952**), and the Rangitata Gorge Pest Destruction District (which was constituted by Order in Council on the 7th day of June 1950††), are hereby declared united to form one district to be called the South Canterbury Pest Destruction District, the boundaries of which shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
