Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Industrial Relations Act 1973β€”Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 195 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Greymouth Law Practitioners' Employees' Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1585, situated at 7 Guiness Street, Greymouth will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of 6 weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Amending the Foreshore Licence Authorising Gisborne City Council to Occupy a Site for a Slipway on the Waimata River

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, of the Ministry of Transport in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby give notice that the licence of 13 June 1967* authorising Gisborne City Council to occupy a part of the bed of the Waimata River, adjacent to Anzac Park at Gisborne, as a site for a slipway, is hereby amended by deleting the word "slipway" and substituting the word "ramp" and by inserting in the Schedule condition "4. The use of the ramp shall be restricted to dinghies, yachts, and trailer sailers of any dimensions and runabouts with a maximum length of 13 ft 6 in. and with motors of less than 12 h.p.".

Amendment to Decision No. 35 of the Trade Practices and Prices Commission

IN the matter of the Trade Practices Act 1958, and in the matter of an application by the New Zealand Vegetable and Produce Growers' Federation Inc., the New Zealand Berryfruit Growers' Federation Inc., the New Zealand Potato Growers' Federation Inc., and the New Zealand Fruitgrowers' Federation Limited (hereinafter referred to as the grower federations) for approval of a collective pricing agreement.

WHEREAS the Trade Practices and Prices Commission made an order on the 29th day of August 1974 approving, subject to certain conditions set out therein, the trade practice described in the Collective Pricing Agreement registered as TPI-49 and currently operated by the grower federations; and whereas the commission's order was published in New Zealand Gazette, 19 September 1974, No. 91, page 1985, as Decision No. 35; and whereas the grower federations have requested that an amendment be made to condition (a) of that approval, and the Examiner of Trade Practices and Prices and the New Zealand Retail Fruiterers Federation Inc., have consented to that amendment; and whereas the commission has decided, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 21 of the Trade Practices Act 1958, to make the amendment so requested.

Now therefore the Trade Practices and Prices Commission hereby revokes condition (a) of the aforesaid order dated the 29th day of August 1974 and published as Decision No. 35, and substitutes therefor the following new condition (a):

(a) The charges for containers imposed under the aforesaid Collective Pricing Agreement shall be reviewed at the following intervals and on the following basis (including those set out in conditions (b) to (h) inclusive):

(i) The first review shall relate to all charges and the alterations in charges resulting from such review shall take effect from 1 January 1975.

(ii) Subsequent reviews shall be limited to those charges which the grower federations or the New Zealand Retail Fruiterers Federations Inc. wish to have reviewed and in respect of which written notice (hereinafter referred to as "a notice of review") is given to the other party and to the Department of Trade and Industry not later than 31 August in any year of intention to review the charges listed.

(iii) The giving by one party (hereinafter referred to as "the reviewing party") of a notice of review shall not of itself entitle the other party to contend that the charges the subject of the notice of review shall be altered but shall not preclude the latter from
