A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for street and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Eastbourne as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 19th day of December 1974.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 4.1 perches situated in Block XVI, Belmont Survey District, Borough of Eastbourne, being part Section 28, Harbour District (Plan A/1781); as shown on plan M.O.W. 28249 (S.O. 28637) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon coloured sepia.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the Crown land described in the First Schedule hereto and the land held for a public school and a secondary school described in the Second Schedule hereto, to be set apart for a limited access road; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 19th day of December 1974.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of Crown land containing 14 perches situated in Block VI, Patetere North Survey District, Matamata County; as shown on plan M.O.W. 28245 (S.O. 47099) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon coloured sepia.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 7.3 perches situated in the Borough of Putaruru, being part Lot 29, D.P. 18021, and part Section 97A, Block VI, Patetere North Survey District; as shown on plan M.O.W. 28245 (S.O. 47099) deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Development at Wellington and thereon coloured blue.

PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974 and the Local Government Commission Act 1967 (to the extent that it continues in force in relation to this Order), His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order shall come into force on 1 January 1975.

  2. The districts of the County of Eketahuna and the Borough of Eketahuna are hereby united to form one county under the name of the "County of Eketahuna" (hereinafter referred to as the "said County").
