Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land, described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation for the purpose of a burial ground or Urupa for the common use and benefit of the owners of the said land and their descendants.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land, situated in Block II, Kawhia South Survey District, and described as follows:

1 0 0 Hauturu West No. 5 Block as created by a Partition Order of the Maori Land Court dated 30 October 1972.

Maori Land Development Notice

PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Hamilton 1974, No. 21.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 2 (6) of the Syndicates Act 1973, I hereby declare

Universal Guarantee Assurance Company Limited

to be an approved surety, for the purposes of section 9 of that Act, in respect of the bond in relation to a proposed syndicate to own and operate the Barclay Hamilton Motel.
