Vesting of Certain Property of Ardmore Teachers College

Whereas Ardmore Teachers College is to be disestablished on 30 November 1974.

And whereas certain equipment of the college has been purchased with money provided by the staff and students, and others, and by various trading activities including in particular the operation of a hostel for students but not with money appropriated by Parliament:

And whereas it is the wish of the Council controlling the Ardmore Teachers College that the aforesaid equipment should be sold and that the proceeds of its sale should be used for the benefit of other hostels for teachers college students in the Auckland Metropolitan area:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (2) of section 106 of the Education Act 1964, it is hereby directed that all that equipment listed in an inventory entitled "Ardmore College-Residential Amenities Purchased from Non-Government Funds" and sealed with the common seal of Ardmore Teachers College, and deposited with the Director-General of Education, shall, on the 30th day of November 1974, vest in the Council constituted on the 1st day of March 1971 to have control of the Auckland Teachers College:

And it is further directed that the said equipment shall be disposed of to the best advantage by the Auckland Teachers Colleges Council and the proceeds paid in equal shares to the Auckland Teachers College, the Auckland Secondary Teachers College, and the North Shore Teachers College to be used by the councils of these colleges for the purpose of operating student hostels.

Exempting Residence Site Licence, in Nelson Land District, from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the residence site licence described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT-BULLER COUNTY
RESIDENCE site licence 11580 being part Section 198, Town of Millerton, situated in Block VI, Ngakawau Survey District: area, 492 square metres, more or less. All certificate of title No. ID/342, Nelson Registry.
Reserving nevertheless unto the Crown, firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land, and secondly, in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 13th day of November 1974.
