Hotel and Catering Industry Training Board Notice 1974

Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Hotel and Catering Industry Training Board Notice 1974.

  2. (1) There shall be an industrial training board for the hotel and catering industry which shall be known as the Hotel and Catering Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following members:

(a) Two members appointed by the Hotel Association of New Zealand;
(b) One member appointed by the New Zealand Restaurant Association;
(c) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Federated Hotel, Hospital, Restaurant and Related Trades Employees Industrial Association of Workers;
(d) One member appointed by the New Zealand Licensing Trusts Association (Inc.);
(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Liquor Industry Council;
(f) One member appointed by the General Manager, Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand;
(g) One member appointed by the General Manager, Dominion Breweries Limited;
(h) One member appointed by the General Manager, New Zealand Breweries Limited;
(i) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
(j) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Board may co-opt not more than two additional members.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the appointed members of the Board shall hold office for a period of two years, but may from time to time be reappointed.

(2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board for a period not exceeding two years, but may be reappointed.

(3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the Chairman or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for three consecutive meetings, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.

(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.

(5) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

  1. (1) A deputy member may be appointed in the same manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that member and act in the event of the absence of that member from any meeting of the Board.

(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Agricultural Training Council Notice 1974

Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Agricultural Training Council Notice 1974.

  2. There shall be an industrial training board for the agricultural industry which shall be known as the Agricultural Training Council and shall comprise the following members:

(a) Three members appointed by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc.) one of whom shall be Chairman;
(b) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs (Inc.);
(c) One member appointed by the Agricultural Production Council;
(d) One member appointed by the Principal, Lincoln College;
(e) One member appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, Massey University;
(f) One member appointed by the Director-General, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries;
(g) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
(h) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the members of the Council shall hold office for a period of three years, but may from time to time be reappointed.

New Zealand Stock and Station Agents Industry Training Board Notice 1974

Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the New Zealand Stock and Station Agents Industry Training Board Notice 1974.

  2. (1) There shall be an industrial training board for the stock and station industry which shall be known as the New Zealand Stock and Station Agents Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following members:

(a) The General Manager, New Zealand Stock and Station Agents Association, who shall be Chairman;
(b) One member appointed by the General Manager, Dalgety New Zealand Limited;
(c) One member appointed by the General Manager, Wrightson N.M.A. Limited;
(d) One member appointed by the North Island Stock and Station Agency Employees Guild;
(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Stock and Station Agents Clerical Workers Industrial Association of Workers;
(f) Two members appointed by the Independent Stock Companies Association;
(g) Two members appointed by the Farmers' Co-operative Companies;
(h) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
(i) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Board may co-opt additional members.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the appointed members of the Board shall hold office for a period of 12 months commencing on the 1st day of April each year and may from time to time be reappointed.
