- (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the appointed members of the Board shall hold office for a period of two years, but may from time to time be reappointed.
(2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the pleasure of the Board for a period not exceeding two years, but may be reappointed.
(3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing under his hand addressed to the Board or the Chairman or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from the meetings of the Board for three consecutive meetings, or while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacating member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of office of the member whom he replaces.
(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed member of the Board shall continue in office until his successor comes into office.
(5) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by any vacancy in the membership thereof.
- (1) A deputy member may be appointed in the same manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that member and act in the event of the absence of that member from any meeting of the Board.
(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1) of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Waterfront Training Organisation Notice 1974
NOTICE
Pursuant to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice.

This notice may be cited as the Waterfront Training Organisation Notice 1974.

(1) There shall be an industrial training board for the waterfront industry which shall be known as the Waterfront Training Organisation and shall comprise the following members:
(a) Six members appointed by the New Zealand Port Employers Association (Inc.)
(b) One member appointed by the New Zealand Waterside Workers Federation;
(c) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Stevedores Association;
(d) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Shipwrights Union;
(e) One member appointed by the General Manager, Auckland Harbour Board;
(f) One member appointed by the Director, Marine Division, Ministry of Transport;
(g) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
(h) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federation of Labour.
(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1) of this clause, the Organisation may co-opt not more than three additional members.

Textile Industry Training Board Notice 1974
NOTICE

(1) There shall be an industrial training board for the textile industry which shall be known as the Textile Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following members:
(a) One member appointed by the Apparel Industry Training Board;
(b) One member appointed by the New Zealand Carpet Manufacturers Association;
(c) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Knitting Industries Federation;
(d) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Textile and Woollen Mills Association;
(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federated Woollen Mills, Carpet and Hosiery Factories Employees Industrial Association of Workers;
(f) One member appointed by the Textile Institute, New Zealand Section;
(g) One member appointed by the Society of Dyers and Colourists of Australia and New Zealand, New Zealand Sections;
(h) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Vocational Training Council;
(i) One member appointed by the Director-General of Education.
