(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1)
of this clause, the Committee may co-opt not more than
two additional members.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the appointed
    members of the Committee shall hold office for a period
    of 3 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.

(2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the
pleasure of the Committee for a period not exceeding
3 years, but may be reappointed.

(3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing
under his hand addressed to the Committee or the Chair-
man or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave
from the meetings of the Committee for three consecutive
meetings, or while holding office becomes for any reason
ineligible to remain a member, the casual vacancy so created
shall be filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the
appointment of a member in the manner in which the vacat-
ing member was appointed, and the member appointed to fill
the vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term
of office of the member whom he replaces.

(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed
member of the Committee shall continue in office until his
successor comes into office.

(5) The powers of the Committee shall not be affected
by any vacancy in the membership thereof.

  1. (1) A deputy member may be appointed in the same
    manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that
    member and act in the event of the absence of that member
    from any meeting of the Committee.

(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1)
of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member
of the Committee. The fact that any person so acts shall
be sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

New Zealand Footwear Industry Training Board Notice 1974


PURSUANT to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council
Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the follow-
ing notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the New Zealand Footwear
    Industry Training Board Notice 1974.

  2. (1) There shall be an industrial training board for the
    footwear manufacturing industry which shall be known as
    the New Zealand Footwear Industry Training Board and
    shall comprise the following members:

(a) Three members appointed by the New Zealand Foot-
wear Manufacturers' Federation;

(b) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Federated
Footwear Trade Industrial Association of Workers;

(c) One member appointed by the New Zealand Branch
(Inc.) of the British Boot and Shoe Institution;

(d) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer
of the Vocational Training Council;

(e) One member appointed by the Director-General of
Education.

    Trade Certification Board Notice 1974.

  2. There shall be an industrial training board for the
    motor industry which shall be known as the New Zealand
    Motor Trade Certification Board and shall comprise the
    following members:

(a) One member appointed by the New Zealand Motor
Trade Federation, who shall be Chairman;

(b) Three members appointed by the New Zealand Retail
Motor Trade Association (Inc.);

(c) Three members appointed by the New Zealand
Engineering, Coachbuilding, Aircraft, Motor and
Related Trades Industrial Union of Workers;

(d) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Motor
Vehicle Manufacturers' Association;

(e) One member appointed by the Institute of the New
Zealand Motor Industry (Inc.);

(f) One member appointed by the New Zealand Engine
Reconditioners' Association (Inc.);

(g) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer
of the Vocational Training Council;

(h) One member appointed by the Director-General of
Education.

    Board Notice 1974.

2.(1) There shall be an industrial training board for the
aviation industry which shall be known as the Aviation
Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following
members:

(a) One member appointed by the General Manager of the
New Zealand National Airways Corporation;

(b) One member appointed by the General Manager of Air
New Zealand Ltd.;

(c) One member appointed by the Aviation Industry Asso-
ciation of New Zealand (Inc.);

(d) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer
of the Vocational Training Council;

(e) One member appointed by the Director-General of
Education;

(f) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federation
of Labour;

(g) One member appointed by the Secretary for Transport;

(h) One member appointed by the Secretary of Defence.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1)
of this clause, the Board may co-opt not more than two
additional members.
