(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1)
of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member
of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be
sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Apparel Industry Training Board Notice 1974

PURSUANT to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council
Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following
notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Apparel Industry Training
    Board Notice 1974.

  2. (1) There shall be an industry training board for the
    apparel industry which shall be known as the Apparel
    Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following
    members:

(a) Three members appointed by the Clothing Institute;
(b) Three members appointed by the New Zealand Textile
and Garment Manufacturers Federation;
(c) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federated
Clothing Trade Employees Industrial Association of
Workers;
(d) One member appointed by the Textile Industry Training
Board;
(e) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer
of the Vocational Training Council;
(f) One member appointed by the Director-General of
Education.

(2) In addition to the members specified in subclause (1)
of this clause, the Board may co-opt additional members.

  1. (1) Subject to the provisions of this clause the appointed
    members of the Board shall hold office for a period of
    2 years, but may from time to time be reappointed.

(2) Any co-opted member shall hold office during the
pleasure of the Board for a period not exceeding 2 years,
but may be reappointed.

(3) If any member dies or resigns his office by writing
under his hand addressed to the Board or the Chairman
or the Secretary thereof, or is absent without leave from
the meetings of the Board for 3 consecutive meetings, or
while holding office becomes for any reason ineligible to
remain a member, the casual vacancy so created shall be
filled as soon as practicable thereafter by the appointment
of a member in the manner in which the vacating member
was appointed, and the member appointed to fill the
vacancy shall hold office for the residue of the term of
office of the member whom he replaces.

(4) Unless he sooner vacates his office every appointed
member of the Board shall continue in office until his
successor comes into office.

(5) The powers of the Board shall not be affected by
any vacancy in the membership thereof.

  1. (1) A deputy member may be appointed in the same
    manner as an appointed member, to be the deputy of that
    member and act in the event of the absence of that member
    from any meeting of the Board.

(2) While any person is acting pursuant to subclause (1)
of this clause he shall be deemed to be a full member
of the Board. The fact that any person so acts shall be
sufficient evidence of his authority to do so.

Building Industry Training Board Notice 1974

PURSUANT to section 15A of the Vocational Training Council
Act 1968, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following

  1. This notice may be cited as the Building Industry Training
    Board Notice 1974.

  2. (1) There shall be an industry training board for the
    building industry which shall be known as the Building
    Industry Training Board and shall comprise the following
    members:

(a) Three members appointed by the New Zealand Master
Builders Federation (Inc.), one of whom shall be
Chairman;
(b) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Chapter
of the Australian Institute of Building;
(c) One member appointed by the New Zealand Carpenters
and Related Trades Industrial Union of Workers;
(d) One member appointed by the New Zealand Federated
Labourers, General Workers, and Related Trades
Industrial Association of Workers;
(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Joinery
Manufacturers' Association (Inc.);
(f) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer
of the Vocational Training Council;
(g) One member appointed by the Director-General of
Education;
(h) The Executive Director of the New Zealand Master
Builders Federation (Inc.).

    Committee Notice 1974.

    fishing industry which shall be known as the Fishing Industry
    Training Committee and shall comprise the following
    members:

(a) One member appointed by the Fishing Industry Board,
who shall be Chairman;
(b) One member appointed by the New Zealand
Commercial Fishing Boat Owners Association
(Inc.);
(c) Two members appointed by the New Zealand Federation
of Commercial Fishermen (Inc.);
(d) One member appointed by the New Zealand Share-
fishermen's Association (Inc.);
(e) One member appointed by the New Zealand Fish
Retailers Federation (Inc.);
(f) One member appointed by the Director, Marine
Division, Ministry of Transport;
(g) One member appointed by the Chief Executive Officer
of the Vocational Training Council;
(h) One member appointed by the Director-General of
Education;
(i) One member appointed by the New Zealand Seafood
Processors Association (Inc.).
