Acquisition of Land for an Historic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby gives notice that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a reserve for historic purposes, subject to the provisions of Part V of the said Act, to be known as Otatara Pa Historic Reserve.

HAWKE'S BAY LAND DISTRICT—OTATARAPA HISTORIC RESERVE—HAWKE'S BAY COUNTY
Lot 10, D.P. 12805, being part Blocks 2, 52, and 55 Puketapu Crown Grant District, situated in Block VII, Heretaunga Survey District area, 27.6830 hectares more or less.

Reservation of Land and Declaration that Land be Part of the Mount Maunganui Domain

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, declares the said reserve to be a public domain subject to the provisions of Part III of the last-mentioned Act to form part of the Mount Maunganui Domain to be administered as a public domain by the Domain Board.

Reservation of Land and Vesting in the Hamilton City Council

Pursuant to the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Lands hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto as a reserve for recreation purposes, and further, pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, vests the said reserve in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Hamilton, in trust, for that purpose.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Resumption of Unformed Road in Block V, Toaroha Survey District, Westland County

Pursuant to section 191B of the Counties Act 1956, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described to the Schedule hereto has been transferred to the Crown by the Westland County Council, pursuant to the said section 191B, and as from the date of this notice the land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

Appointment of the Marlborough Sounds Maritime Park Board to Control and Manage a Reserve

Board Appointed to Have Control of Otatara Pa Historic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby appoints the Commissioner of Crown Lands for the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, ex officio, who shall be Chairman, the Chairman of the Napier City Council's Reserves Committee, ex officio, the member of the Hawke’s Bay County Council, representing the Puketapu Riding, ex officio, James Royce McKinlay, representing the New Zealand Archeaological Association, and Kenneth John Wilson, representing the Hawke’s Bay Regional Committee of the New Zealand Historic Places Trust, to be the Otatara Pa Historic Reserve Board to have control of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto subject to the provisions of the said Act as an historic reserve.
