The Overseas Takeovers Exemption Notice 1973, No. 1

PURSUANT to the Overseas Takeovers Regulations 1964, the Minister of Finance hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. Title—This notice may be cited as the Overseas Take-overs Exemption Notice 1973, No. 1.

2. Exempting certain companies from the Overseas Take-overs Regulations 1964—There is hereby exempted from all the requirements of the Overseas Takeovers Regulations 1964* any offeror that is a company within the meaning of the Companies Act 1955, and is an overseas person within the meaning of paragraph (c) of the definition of that term in regulation 2 (1) of those regulations, but which would not be an overseas person if the shares held in the company by any of the companies or insurance offices mentioned in the Schedule hereto were held by persons who are not overseas persons.

3. Revocation—The notice exempting certain companies from the Overseas Takeovers Regulations 1964, dated the 10th day of October 1972†, is hereby revoked.

Declaring a Public Reserve Vested in the Waiapu Hospital Board to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 69 (4) of the Hospitals Act 1957, the Minister of Health hereby declares that the public reserve described in the Schedule hereto is no longer required for hospital purposes and shall vest in the Crown as Crown land, subject to the Land Act 1948.

The Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 2, 1973

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 2, 1973.

2. All the roads in Manukau City, with the exception of those roads contained in the area specified in the First Schedule hereto, are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956 during the period commencing with the Wednesday following Easter each year and ending with the 30th day of November.

4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

5. The notices under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956 dated 22 December 1972* and 2 May 1973† which relate to Manukau City, are hereby revoked.
