Interim Final Prices for Cheese Intended for Export
NOTES
PURSUANT to the Dairy Board Act 1961, the New Zealand
Dairy Board has fixed the final prices to be paid for all
cheese manufactured from milk or cream delivered to a dairy
factory in the season commencing on the 1st day of June 1972,
and acquired by the New Zealand Dairy Board, pursuant to
Part II of the said Act, at the several prices and upon the
terms, stipulations, and conditions following, that is to say:

This declaration comes into effect upon first publication
in a newspaper circulating in the infected area described.
Its purpose is to prevent the spread of poplar leaf rust
into the South Island. -
The declaration makes it an offence, carrying a fine
or imprisonment on conviction, to remove foliage, cuttings,
poles, trees, or logs of poplar species out of the infected
area. -
The "infected area" out of which poplar trees, etc., may
not be removed is generally the North Island as a whole.
Movement within the area is authorised. -
Inquiries should be addressed to the nearest Conservator
of Forests.
The said declaration was published on the dates specified

- In the case of New Zealand rindless cheddar cheese-60 lb
to which is assigned one or other of the following respective
grades and which is allotted points in grading within the
range of the following respective grade points under the
said regulations-
(a) For "Finest" grade, 94 points or over, the price of
27.28c per pound:
(b) For "Finest" grade, 93 points or over but under
94 points, the price of 27.08c per pound:
(c) For "First" grade, 92 points or over but under
93 points, the basic price of 26.23c per pound:
(d) For "First" grade, 91 points or over but under
92 points, the price of 26.03c per pound:
(e) For "Graded", 88 points or over but under 91 points
the price of 25.18c per pound:
(f) For "Seconds", 80 points or over but under 88 points,
the price of 23.13c per pound.
- The prices set out in paragraph 1, Gazette notice No. 1,
11 January 1973, p. 35, are amended accordingly.

Publication of Declaration of Infected Area Under Forest
Disease Control Regulations 1967-Poplar Leaf Rust
(Melampsora medusae)
THE following declaration made under regulation 4 of the
Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967, is hereby published
in accordance with regulation 6 of the said regulations.
THE FOREST DISEASE CONTROL REGULATIONS 1967
DECLARATION OF "INFECTED AREA" IN RESPECT OF POPLAR LEAF
RUST (Melampsora medusae)
- Pursuant to the Forest Disease Control Regulations 1967,
and with the prior approval of the
Minister of Forests, we, George Mitchell O'Neill,
Conservator of Forests, Auckland, John Ure, Conservator
of Forests, Rotorua, and Charles Holden Brown,
Conservator of Forests, Palmerston North, being authorised
forest officers under the said regulations, hereby declare all
counties (including county towns) and parts of counties
within the meaning of the Counties Act 1956, and all boroughs
and parts of boroughs within the meaning of the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954, situated within the land districts or
parts of land districts more particularly described hereunder,
to be from and including the first date of publication of
this declaration an "infected area" in respect of the forest
disease poplar leaf rust (Melampsora medusae).
LAND DISTRICTS
All land Districts in the North Island of New Zealand,
including outlying islands.
- By authority of the said regulations we, as authorised
forest officers, hereby consent to the bringing or removal
of forest produce;
Land in the Wellington Land District Acquired as Permanent
State Forest Land
NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule
hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949 as
permanent State forest land.

WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT-WELLINGTON CONSERVANCY-
MASTERTON COUNTY
LOT 1, D.P. 31201, being part Sections 374, 375, and 797,
Whareama District, situated in Block VII, Castlepoint Survey
District: area, 127.7744 hectares, more or less. All certificate
of title, Volume 11A, folio 84.
As shown on plan N. 159/5 deposited in the Head Office
of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.
