Notice Declaring Quarantine Area at Trentham (No. 493 Ag. 70072)

NOTICE is hereby given that, for the purposes of detention of imported horses under the Animals Act 1967, the land specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a quarantine area from the 11th day of June of 1973 to the 11th day of August 1973.

SCHEDULE

THE premises of Wrightson NMA Ltd. and Pyne, Gould, Guiness Ltd. Sale Grounds situated at the northern end of Racecourse Road, Trentham, comprising approximately 2½ acres and known as “K Block”.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Proposed Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 86 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Northern Coal Mines Underground Officials’ Industrial Union of Workers, Registered No. 1109, situated at 37 Bailey Street, Huntly, will, unless cause to the contrary is shown, be cancelled on the expiration of 6 weeks from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954—Cancellation of Registration of Industrial Union

PURSUANT to section 86 of the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1954, it is hereby notified that the registration of the Auckland Master Tailors’ Industrial Union of Employers, Registered No. 122, situated at R.S.A. Building, 35 High Street, Auckland, is hereby cancelled as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

PURSUANT to section 3 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as amended by section 3 (1) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft New Zealand Specification Available for Comment

PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft New Zealand standard specification is being circulated:

Number and Title of Specification

DZ 4203/301–304 Code of practice for general structural design and design loads. Metric units.

All persons who may be affected by this specification and who desire to comment thereon may, upon application, obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington 1.

Additional copies are obtainable at 50c a copy from the same address.

The closing date for the receipt of comment is 1 October 1973.
