Maori Land Development Notice


WHEREAS by virtue of the notices referred to in the First Schedule hereto the lands described in those notices were declared to be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953; and whereas by reason of an amalgamation of titles it is considered necessary to amend or replace the notices aforesaid:

Now, therefore, pursuant to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1973, No. 15.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The notices referred to in the Third Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

  4. The land described in the Fourth Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be subject to Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a picnic spot and recreational reserve for the common use and benefit of the general public.
