PURSUANT to the Counties Insurance Empowering Act 1941, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

1. This order may be cited as the Counties Insurance Empowering Order 1973.

2. Consent is hereby given to the exercise by the New Zealand Counties Co-operative Insurance Co. Ltd. of the following powers conferred by paragraph (c) of clause 2 of its Memorandum of Association:

(a) Such of those powers as will enable the company to carry on the business of insurance in respect of the Lyttelton Harbour Board:

(b) Such of those powers as will enable the company to carry on the business of insurance (excluding the business of insurance upon human life and the business of granting annuities upon human life) in respect of the employees and members of those local authorities and bodies in respect of which the company is empowered to carry on the business of insurance.
