Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) 24 chains
measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from
Akatarawa Road; thence across the said highway at right
angles to its southern side to its northern side; thence northerly
generally by a right line to a point on the northern side of
Gillespies Road, 39 chains measured easterly generally along
the said road from Akatarawa Road; thence easterly generally
by a right line to a point on the western side of Akatarawa
Road, 7 chains measured northerly generally along the said
road from Gillespies Road; thence due west by a right line to
a point due north of the south-western end of Bridge Road;
thence due south by a right line to the left bank of the Hutt
River; thence southerly and westerly generally along the said
left bank to the south-western boundary of Upper Hutt City;
thence westerly, northerly, easterly, southerly, and westerly
generally along the boundary of Upper Hutt City to a point
due south of the commencing point; thence by a right line to
the commencing point.

measured westerly and southerly generally along the said
road from Plateau Road).

Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 94 chains measured
south-easterly generally along the said road from the said
highway).

SITUATED within Upper Hutt City:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne)
(from a point 2 chains measured north-easterly generally
along the said highway from Clouston Park Road to a point
24 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said
highway from Akatarawa Road).

The Traffic (Porirua City) Notice No. 1, 1973
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Porirua City)
Notice No. 1, 1973. -
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are
hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
section 52 of the Transport Act 1962. -
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are
hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for
the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations -
The warrant dated the 7th day of July 1965*, which relates
to Parematā, Golden Gate, Mana, Plimmerton, and Karehana
Bay in the Hutt County, and the warrant dated the 18th day
of August 1966†, which relates to Pukerua Bay in the Hutt
County, and the Traffic (Hutt County) Notice 1968‡, the
Traffic (Porirua City) Notice No. 2, 1971§, and the Traffic
(Hutt County) Notice No. 3, 1972∥, are all hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Porirua City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 14 chains
measured southerly generally along the said State highway
from Arawhata Street to a point 18 chains measured southerly
generally along the said State highway from the No. 58 State
Highway (Haywards-Parematā); and from a point 5 chains
measured northerly generally along the No. 1 State Highway
(Awanui-Bluff) from James Street (Plimmerton) to a point
3 chains measured southerly generally along the said State
highway from Gray Street (Pukerua Bay); and from a point
16 chains measured north-easterly generally along the No. 1
State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from Pa Road (Pukerua Bay)
to the northern boundary of Porirua City).
At Parematā:
No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Parematā) (from a point
18 chains measured south-easterly generally along the said
State highway from Seaview Road to the eastern boundary
of Porirua City).
At Plimmerton:
Airlie Road (from a point 14 chains measured northerly
generally along the said road from Firth Road to the No. 1
State Highway (Awanui-Bluff)).
Grays Road (from a point 32 chains measured easterly
generally along the said road from Taupo Crescent to the
south-eastern boundary of Porirua City).
At Tawa:
Glenside Road (from a point 3 chains measured southerly
generally along the said road from Takapu Road to the
southern boundary of Porirua City).
Takapu Road (from the eastern end of the railway over-
bridge over the North Island Main Trunk Railway to the
north-eastern end of the said road).
At Porirua:
Kenepuru Drive (from the southern boundary of Porirua
City to a point 12 chains measured southerly generally along
Kenepuru Drive from the main entrance to the Porirua Mental
Hospital).
Porirua - Titahi Bay Road (from a point 5 chains measured
westerly generally along the said road from Walton Leigh
Avenue to a point 6 chains measured southerly generally along
the Porirua - Titahi Bay Road from Kahutea Terrace).

hereby gives the following notice.

declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes
of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
