The Traffic (Kaikoura County) Notice No. 1, 1973


PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Kaikoura County) Notice No. 1, 1973.

  2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during—

(a) The period commencing with the 22nd day of December in each year and ending with the 12th day of January in the next ensuing year; and

(b) The period commencing with the Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday following Easter in each year; and

(c) The period commencing with the Friday preceding Labour Day and ending with the Tuesday following Labour Day in each year; and

(d) The period commencing with the Thursday preceding Christchurch Show weekend and ending with the Monday following Christchurch Show weekend in each year

shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 40-miles-an-hour fixed by the said regulation.

  1. The notice dated the 10th day of December 1959† and which relates to Goose Bay in Kaikoura County is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Kaikoura County at Kie Kie and Goose Bay:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 40 chains measured southerly generally along the said highway from Omihi Stream to a point 20 chains measured northerly generally along the said highway from Karamai Tunnel).

Maori Land Development Notice


PURSUANT to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.


NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1973, No. 6.

  2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described in the Second Schedule hereto.

  3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.
