The Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1973
PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.
N O T I C E
-
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Lower Hutt City) Notice No. 1, 1973.
-
The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
-
The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

The road specified in the Third Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a limited speed zone for the purposes of regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

The notices under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 21st day of August 1962* and the 26th day of October 1962†, are hereby revoked.

The Traffic (Lower Hutt City and Hutt County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated the 14th day of December 1970‡, and the Traffic (Hutt County) Notice No. 2, 1972, dated the 27th day of September 1972§, are hereby revoked.
FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Lower Hutt City west of Hutt River:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne).
No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata).
Belmont Road.
Hill Road (from a point 120 chains measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Grounsell Crescent to the north-western end of the said road).
Horokiwi Road.
Liverton Road.
Old Western Hutt Road (from a point 35 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said road from Gurney Road to the north-eastern end of the said road).
All that area at Haywards bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the eastern side of No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata) with the northern side of Old Haywards Road; thence easterly and southerly generally along the northern and eastern side of Old Haywards Road to the north-western side of No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne); thence south-westerly generally along that roadside to the south-eastern side of No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata); thence north-easterly and northerly generally along that roadside to the commencing point.
SECOND SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Lower Hutt City at Melling:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from a point 9 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said highway from Harbour View Road to a point 5 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Block Road).
THIRD SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Lower Hutt City at Manor Park:
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) (from a point 24 chains measured south-westerly generally along the said highway from No. 58 State Highway (Haywards-Paremata) to a point 4 chains measured north-easterly generally along the said highway from Old Haywards Road).

With the exception of the roads described in the Second Schedule hereto, the roads in all that area bounded by a line commencing at the junction of the south-eastern side of Lane Street with the northern side of Wallaceville Road; thence easterly generally along that roadside to the western boundary of the Wallaceville Cemetery; thence northerly generally by a right line to a point on the centre line of the Wellington-Masterton-Woodville Railway due south of the intersection of the south-eastern side of No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne) and the south-western side
