Prescribed, Administered, or Supplied for the Purpose of
Treating Persons Dependent on Narcotics

Pursuant to regulation 25A (6) (b) of the Narcotics
Regulations 1966, the Minister of Health hereby specifies
the hospitals and hospital-board clinics named in the
Schedule hereto as places at which narcotics may be
prescribed, administered, or supplied for the purpose of
treating persons dependent on narcotics.

The Auckland Hospital Board’s Cathedral Clinic, St.
Stephens Avenue, Parnell, Auckland.

*These are certified institutions under the Alcoholism and
Drug Addiction Act 1966.

Consent to the Distribution of New Therapeutic Drugs

Pursuant to section 12 of the Food and Drug Act 1969, the Minister of Health hereby consents to the distribution in New Zealand of the new
therapeutic drugs set out in the Schedule hereto.

The Traffic (Wellington City) Notice No. 1, 1973

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport
hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Wellington City)
    Notice No. 1, 1973.
  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are
    hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by
    section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
  3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby
    excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52
    of the Transport Act 1962 during the period commencing
    with the 1st day of April in each year and ending with the
    31st day of August in the same year, provided that this
    exclusion does not apply to the period commencing with the
    Thursday preceding Easter and ending with the Tuesday
    following Easter each year.
  4. The roads specified in the Third Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be limited speed zones for the purposes of
    regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
  5. The roads specified in the Fourth Schedule hereto are
    hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for
    the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.
  6. The warrants dated the 30th day of October 1956*, the
    3rd day of February 1960†, and the 25th day of July 1967‡,
    all of which relate to Wellington City, and the Traffic (Hutt
    County) Notice 1968§, the Traffic (Hutt County) Notice
    No. 3, 1969||, the Traffic (Hutt County) Notice No. 1, 1970¶,
    and the Traffic (Hutt County) Notice No. 4, 1972**, all of
    which relate to Hutt County are hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE
SITUATED within Wellington City:
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) (from a point 5 chains
measured northerly generally along the said State highway
from Waterloo Quay to a point 25 chains measured northerly
generally along the said State highway from the bridge over
the south-bound off-ramp at Johnsonville).
No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-Wellington via Gisborne)
(from its intersection with the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-
Bluff) at Ngauranga to the north-eastern boundary of
Wellington City).
Hutt Road (from a point 7 chains measured north-easterly
generally along the said road from Tinakori Road to the
No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff)).
Burma Road (from a point 3 chains north of its junction
with Maldive Street to a point 2 chains south of the south-
western boundary of Onslow College).
Calabar Road (from Cobham Drive to Broadway).
Cobham Drive.
Horokiwi Road (from the No. 2 State Highway (Pokeno-
Wellington via Gisborne) to a point 8 chains measured
westerly generally along Horokiwi Road from Kinapori
Terrace (Newlands)).
Makara Beach Road (from its junction with Takarau Gorge
Road to a point 32 chains measured south-easterly generally
along Makara Beach Road from its western terminating
point).
Makara Road (from a point 26 chains measured north-
westerly generally along the said road from Terawhiti Terrace
to its junction with Makara Beach Road).
Mill Road.
Ohariu Road (from a point 3 chains measured north-
westerly generally along the said road from Cunliffe Street
to Ohariu Valley Road).
