Declaring Land in Canterbury Land District, Vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a Site for a School, to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Canterbury Education Board as a site for a school, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

PART Rural Section 18485 situated in Block IX, Rolleston Survey District: area, 1.2140 hectares, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 46, folio 285.

Altering the Boundaries of the West Coast and Buller Electric Power Districts

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby alter the boundaries of the West Coast and Buller Electric Power Districts by excluding the area described in the First Schedule hereto from the Buller Electric Power District, and by including that area in the West Coast Electric Power District, and further I hereby declare that the boundaries of the West Coast and Buller Electric Power Districts shall be those described in the Second and Third Schedules hereto respectively.


FIRST SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, Buller County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle line of the Buller River with the northern boundary of Block VI, Inangahua Survey District, and proceeding northerly up the middle of that river to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 10, Block III, Inangahua Survey District; thence westerly to and along that boundary and the southern boundary of Section 8, Block III aforesaid, to its westernmost point; thence generally northerly and easterly along the western and northern boundaries of the said Section 8, the western boundary of Section II, Block XVI, Orikaka Survey District, that boundary produced to the northern side of a public road along the northern bank of Pensini Creek, again along the western boundary of the said Section II, the western and northern boundaries of Section 15, Block XVI aforesaid, the western and northern boundaries of Section 2, Block XVI aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of New Creek, thence northerly up the middle of New Creek to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 17, Block XVI, Orikaka Survey District; thence easterly to and along that boundary to its easternmost point; thence generally southerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Section 17 and the eastern boundaries of Section 16 and 13, Block XVI aforesaid, to the southernmost corner of the said Section 13, thence easterly along a right line to the northernmost corner of Section 9, Square 139, situated in Block XIII, Lyell Survey District; again easterly along the northern boundaries of the said Section 9 and Scenic Reserve No. 5 (in red) to its easternmost point; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the said scenic reserve to the northern boundary of Block I, Maruia Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of the said Block I and Block II, Maruia Survey District, to a spur near the mouth of the Eight Mile or Boundary Creek and being a point on the eastern boundary of the Buller County as described in Gazette, 1922, p. 231; thence southerly, south-westerly, and north-westerly along the eastern, south-eastern, and south-western boundaries of the said county to the eastern boundary of Block X, Inangahua Survey District; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of the said Block X and Block VI, Inangahua Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Block VI to the point of commencement. As shown on plan No. 867 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Electricity Department at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.


SECOND SCHEDULE

  1. All that area in the Nelson, Westland, and Otago Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at Trig. Station YZ, Awarua Point, in Block XII, Awarua Survey District, Westland Land District, and proceeding north-easterly generally along the sea coast to the south-western corner of Section 15, Block V, Brighton Survey District, Nelson Land District; thence easterly along the northern boundaries of Blocks IX, X, XI, and XII, Brighton Survey District, Nelson Land District, to the south-eastern boundary of the Buller County as described in Gazette, 1922, p. 231; thence north-easterly generally along the said county boundary passing through Mount Priestly, Mount Faraday, and Mount Uriah to Trig. Station BB, Berlins Bluff; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Block VIII, Ohika Survey District, Nelson Land District, to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 54, Block VIII, aforesaid; thence westerly to and along that boundary and northerly, westerly, and again northerly along the western boundary of the said Section 54 and the southern and western boundaries of Section 1, Block VIII aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Buller River; thence north-easterly generally up the middle of that river to its intersection with the northern boundary of Block IV, Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District, being a point opposite the south-easternmost corner of Section 2, Block IV, aforesaid; thence easterly generally along the northern boundaries of the said Block IV and Blocks V and VI, Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of the said Block VI and Block X, Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District, to the south-western boundary of the Buller County as described in Gazette, 1922, page 231; thence north-westerly along the said county boundary to its intersection with the eastern boundary of Block V, Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District, thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of the said Block V and Blocks IX and XIII, Inangahua Survey District, Nelson Land District, and Blocks III, VII, XI, and XV, Reefton Survey District, Nelson Land District, and Block III, Waitahu Survey District, Nelson Land District, to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned block; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of that block and Blocks II and I, Waitahu Survey District, Nelson Land District, to the north-eastern corner of Block V, Waitahu Survey District, Nelson Land District; thence southerly along the eastern boundaries of that block and Blocks IX and XIII, Waitahu Survey District, Nelson Land District, and Block I, Pohaturoa Survey District, Nelson Land District, to the middle of the Grey River; thence easterly generally up the middle of the said Grey River to its confluence with Snow Creek; thence north-easterly along a right line to Trig. Station Z, Mount Haast, in Block I, Lewis Survey District, Westland Land District; thence south-
