The Motor Launch (Manawatu River) Notice 1973—
Manawatu Catchment Board
PURSUANT to the Motor Launch Regulations 1962*, the
Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice:

1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Motor Launch
   (Manawatu River) Notice 1973.
   (b) This notice shall come into force on the date of
   its publication in the Gazette.
2. Subject to the conditions set forth in the Fourth Schedule
   hereto, the areas described in the First, Second, and Third
   Schedules hereto shall be exempted from the regulations
   specified in the Schedules for a period of 1 year excepting
   thereout 1 week prior to the duck shooting season and the
   first week of that season.
   FIRST SCHEDULE
   ALL that area of water in the Manawatu River from the
   lower end of the Whirikino Cut to the River mouth shall
   be exempted from regulations 11 (b) and 11 (c) of the
   Motor Launch Regulations 1962.

SECOND SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water in the Manawatu River from the
Whirikino Trestle Bridge to a point marked with a notice
board approximately 1½ miles upstream shall be exempted
from regulations 11 (b), 11 (c), 12 (b), and 12 (c) of
the Motor Launch Regulations 1962.
THIRD SCHEDULE
ALL that area of water in the Manawatu River from the
Whirikino Trestle Bridge to a point marked with a notice
board ¼ mile downstream shall be a reserved area for water
ski-ing pursuant to regulation 14 of the Motor Launch Regulations 1962.
FOURTH SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
SUITABLE notices, as may be approved from time to time
by the Regional Marine Officer at Wellington, shall be
erected at the limits of the areas described in the Schedules
to this notice.
