Resumption of Unformed Road in Block XI Hautapu Survey District, Kiwitea County

Pursuant to section 191B of the Counties Act 1956, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been transferred to the Crown by the Kiwitea County Council, pursuant to the said section 191B, and as from the date of this notice the land shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 1, 1973

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 1, 1973.

  2. The roads specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle thereon at any time during the period commencing with the 1st day of December in each year and ending on the 7th day following Easter Tuesday in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of 30 miles an hour fixed by the said section.

  3. The warrant under section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, dated the 17th day of December 1956*, which relates to Whangarei County is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE

Situated within Whangarei County at Oakura:

Oakura Road (from a point 80 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said road from Omutu Street to a point 140 metres measured north-easterly generally along Oakura Road from Ohawini Road).

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Matamata County) Notice No. 1, 1973.

  2. The roads within the area specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956.

  4. The notice under the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27 of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated the 23rd day of February 1967‡, is hereby revoked.

  5. The notice under the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, relating to a road in Matamata County, dated the 15th day of August 1967†, is hereby revoked.

  6. The notice under the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, relating to roads in Matamata County, dated the 14th day of October 1971§, is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Matamata County at Tokoroa:

All that area at Tokoroa with the exception of the portion of Maraetai Road described in the Second Schedule hereto bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western side of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) at its intersection with the southern bank of the Whakauru Stream; thence westerly and northerly generally along the said bank of the said stream to the eastern side of Paraonui Road; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of Paraonui Road to a point 280 metres measured northerly generally along Paraonui Road from Parkdale Drive; thence due west by a right line across Paraonui Road to the eastern bank
